great idea with the clock! might have to make one of those. I usually just use kitchen roll holders for mine, then add an upside down plastic bowl on the top of it to create a dome for the helmet to sit on.

The ol' clock method actually worked out nicely. Dom actually just reminded me that I even used this method back then, I must be in the status of 'old fart' 
. It's just finding the right clock that will work, and going on VEEERRY low speed drilling a hole in the clear plastic, because you can easily crack it. But take your time, and you actually get a nice, clean little display
