Differences between ESB and ROTJ

Enjoyable and humorous read here guys... however the original question remains - what are the differences between the ESB and ROTJ helmets? If someone could elaborate and educate me, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again.

Best Regards,
Boris.

They are completely different paint jobs. Pretty much every detail is different on each helmet. They have different weathering patterns and different colors, different kill stripes......it would be easier to say what is the same. They both have T visors, they are both have red around the T visor. The both have ears.....but the ears are painted different. They both have keyslots but then again they are different.

The best way to see the differences is to just pull up a pic of each one in the gallery and look at them.

The why is just the film production point of view. They painted up about 6 helmets and then they seemed to not keep track of which one they used. I don't think there has ever been a story that explained changes. Think about it from this point. It is supposed to be the same helmet from ESB to ROTJ.....that is the only way to explain the dent. It isn't like Boba got shot in the exact same place in the head with every helmet that he owned. So the only reasonable train of thought is that he is wearing the same helmet.

That puts us back at the point that it is just a film production thing.

It is just so weird that they didn't use the same outfit and helmet. I mean, it couldn't have just been an oversight right? How could they not know or remember what was used when they have the footage to review.

Maybe there is just a low hanging door on Slave 1 one that he happens to knock his noggin every time he enters :)

Parts of both the gun and armor of Boba Fett were constantly breaking in ESB. It was because of this fact the ESB suit did not survive, what did was used in RoTJ. Additionally, unlike ESB, there were a few stunt scenes in RoTJ which required more flexible gear that was better for the action scenes used on the skiff/barge/pit shots.Since the movie was shot under a code name (Not Return of the Jedi) multiple versions of the suit were made to prevent production delays experienced in ESB due to suit failures, I believe there were 3 normal suits made and 2 stunt suits made. I Guarantee Raf would know for sure.

I had always thought it was more a fault of heavy production and a need to produce his armor fast- hence what appears to be a fast paint job on his helmet and plain silver ears with a wash thrown on for good measure).
In all honesty I never noticed as a kid, he was the same Fett as he was in ESB, It wasn't until years latter when wanting to make a suit that I really saw a change.
And just to point out the production side and lack of continuity in he films, I believe there is a shot with his knee pad on upside down...in ROTJ
