The DEFINITIVE Fett ESB colors (Pantone) - some numbers!

    Hi

First of all, sorry if this is old information, used the search function before posting this but didn't find anything.

Here are the exact numbers for the ESB Fett:

    The green/olive was "Pantone 350U"
The dark blue/green was "Pantone 553U"
The shoulder bells strangely weren't pure yellow but "Pantone 154U" (kind of brown??)
The dark red was "Pantone 491U"

Here is an online calculator where the colors are shown in RGB format (perhaps that helps when mixing these colors in your local paint suplly?)

    RGB Color Chart

Pardon my ignorance, but how did you ascertain that these colors are the definitive colors?

    This is an official picture.

(these are not my drawings on the picture, the whole content is authentic)

This picture is to be found in a Star Wars making of book so I think its authentic?

I wouldn't put too much stock in this.
granted, it is from the new Making of Empire book, but it really can't be validated that these colors were used originally or who actually chose those colors or even for what purpose.
My guess is that it was done waaaay after the fact by a licensee for their own paintjobs (Sideshow, Gentle Giant, Kenner, etc)
The most damning evidence would be the Helmet dome and the Chest armor being the same color Green (350U on the pic) which it obviously is not.

Interesting, is it saying the jumpsuit is silver?

Interesting point slave...seems I was too quick with that. And I don't think that it was meant to be "silver" lol

The thing I forgot was that Pantone colors are a standard for printing so...guess this is useless as a color guide.

Mods? Just smack me and delete the thread...

No need for a smack but Nathan makes some great points. We were really excited when we first saw the pic as well with the pantones, but sadly, as Nathan said, while we can use them as a starting point, they clearly are not the end-all be-all to colors. Just another cool thing along the way!
