Deadland GMH ESB paint up for Katzybugz

As part of the Fem Fett armor that I am painting for Katzybugz she has commissioned me to paint up her GMH lid as well. All I have to say is that this is my first one. All I have to say is that it is really darn cool to hold a piece of Fett history in my hand. This is a rotocast GMH and to me seems to be just as strong as any of the fiberglass lids that Fettpride has produced. So far I have started the process of filling in all the physical damage that is present in the GMH at which point I will go back and add in the ESB damage. Well on to a pic since there is just a light coat of primer on it and a lot of work to go to get it to her in time for Celebration VI.

I know that she's been biting at the bit in excitement for you to get this helmet.

So you should have one of the FP Female Jetpacks soon to paint? THAT I cant wait to see. Its from the sculpt I did last year. Love your work and cant wait to see this done...she will be pleased with this for sure.

Have only seen a few pics on the iphone, but what Ive seen from the pics is gonna be pretty awesome for the ladies and kiddies... Will be painting one in a few months between ROTJ helmets and such

Oh I can't begin to explain how ridiculously I am excited for all this! I know it's all gonna look awesome! I don't know which part I'm more excited for! Thanks again for doing this for me Rob! Like fett4real said I know you will be busy but it is so much appreciated!!!

I only wish I could be doing this same thing with the same stuff for my Wife and her set. Very jealous

Yeah it is going to be tuff but on some of it I will be enlisting some help from the wife!!! Hell who knows I may just have to get the kids involved too

Alright quick and dirty update!!! Back panels are done and I will now be moving onto the trim, key slots and mandibles. I started working on my templates last night and should be done today. If all goes well I should have the trim, key slots and mandibles done by Monday Tuesday at the latest.
on to the pics I do plan to take some better ones tomorrow out in the sun with the armor.

Hey Katzy- I saw this beast in person today and WOW you are in for a real treat!!!

Aw! I can not wait!! It feels like I have been waiting forever to see this come together. Patience is not a virtue of mine! The helmet is looking great... Not that I had any doubt

So my helmet came in today and I literally teared up seeing it. (yes I'm a girl haha) but seriously. It's gorgeous. And there's just something about holding my helmet for the first time. I know plenty of people have been working on their costumes for long periods of time. I started my journey at the beginning of this year and to finally get this piece of the costume. It really struck me. I can't say enough about Rob (Deadland). I really appreciate how you were able to work with such a tight schedule and never once complained and emailed me updates frequently. I will recommend your services over and over. Thanks again. I am beyond pleased and can't wait to show off your painting job at c6!!

Awesome! I've got two GMH's with Rob right now. I literally slobbered over yours being done!
