Chinstrap setup option

Hey folks! I put some photos in my build thread but thought it might be useful in the helmet section. I just received a vintage snowmobile helmet from the 70's that I purchased on ebay. I gutted the helmet for the chinstrap setup. I know it's not 100% perfect but I think that it could be a viable option for those looking for this type of thing. You can find many of the helmets for under $20. I paid $7 for this one plus $8 for shipping. Anyhow, I'd be interested in your opinions on it. Take care.

Thats not too shabby. I have a chincup and straps form a vintage UK riot helmet which the cup is 100% correct but im not sure if the strapping is. I think i paid like 35 bucks for the helmet which i later sold for $20 without the cup and straps lol. What you have here looks very similar, and i think would work out well for some folks. Nice find Bryan!

When I get back in town, I'll snap some pics of the one I have, maybe that will help as well....

I havent looked into it yet because i was only going to add the strap on my FPH2, because im making thata a full on replica. But IIRC, the straps attach to the lower ear screws in those shots of the production helmet.
