cardboard boba helmet, W.o.F templates & Antman's tutorial
Hi everybody, my name is Dulla73 from the Netherlands( so excuse me for my english) im building myself a bucket useing W.O.F. templates and Antman's tutorial. I made 2 buckets 1 for learning the other for the end result.
As you can see on this image i made a xtra ring inside the dome(second helmet) it worked better for me to get the right shape for the dome and it gives a more riged hold to the dome templates. I used the left over that i cut out on top of the base-bucket because it allready had the same shape as the bucket outline.
When i used the W.O.F. dome template i cut away the xtra material part and glued a rim on the inside of the dome parts as on the pictures.
Well you all know from Antman what a hell of a job it is to fill and sanding the dome.
After i did that i cut a hole in the dome for the dent and filled it with bondo and gave it shape with sanding paper and some small files
Don't know sure if the dent is on the right spot, i find it hard to find out.

As you can see on the right ear (rangefinder) i used 3 small but very strong magnets( they are called "mighties" the manufacturer is "three by three from Seattle") to keep the earcap stuck on its place. and for the earcap i sawed of some screwheads and glued them in. it works perfectly with the "mighties".
