Can a GMH be an ESB?

I am looking to buy a helmet very soon and I am reading a lot (my head is spinning) and trying to keep track of all the different ones out there. I read the article about the GMH helmet restoration and I really like the look of it. Is it possible for that helmet casting to be used for an ESB replica? Eventually I would like to get down to making another full, more accurate Fett costume (the one I made in 1998 was mostly plastic and foamboard!) and I want it to be from Empire. The flare of the GMH looks about right to me. Anyone else agree? Disagree? Any opinions will help. I tend to be more familiar with Trooper armor than Fett parts.

Fett 4 Real just did an ESB out of one. It apparently works perfectly, but you need to fill the PP2 nicks and scratches and apply ESB ones.

WOW, I just checked out his thread and the photos are pretty convincing. It actually doesn't look like much work to fill in. I just think the shape is great, looks to have just the right amount of flare for the ESB.

You need to consider all of the movie Fett helmets came from the same mold , so as it stands the GMH is the closest you will get to owning a real fett helmet ,
So yes if you want to paint a GMH in the ESB style it will definently do the job

exactly

Don't forget the FP MR helmet. He worked that one to be very ESB like... but a small % bigger... I troop with mine and I'm a bit larger so I need the helmet to be more proportionate to my build.

If your helmet is only going to be a display piece then the GMH is the closes thing to the real helmet.

I am 6' even and weigh 188. I am thinking I could go either way on the fit, but after reading all that I could on the GMH, I think I really want that one. It is a piece of history!

I´m new here and want to say hello to all members here !

I´m from Austria and crossed over from the FX-saber scene and own also an , painted by me , MLCv3 Biker Scout helmet .
My new wish is to own an very accurate ESB Boba helmet with full electronic RF and accurate interior mainly for display but also to put it on to make some showtime ^^

After reading the GMH sale thread i also had the question if its good to buy an GMH and make an movie ESB from it .

So thanks for answering my question and please excuse me , i have to read so much more here on this awesome forum to learn and understand !

Redarc if you want to make a movie acurate interior you wont be adding the eletronic servo (up and down) In the helmet as the movie originals dont have them ,
Im in the prosses of doing an interior for a PP2 and a ESB and most of parts are hard to find (some very) specialy being on this side of the world,

What i meant with "accurate" was something like the marrow sun interior ;-)
And i couldn´t skip such an feature like the servo because it rocks to much if its installed ^^
The real accuracy i want for the helmet and the paint job itself .

well tha MSinterior and storm rider ,, steming from the ridle interiors as cool as they look are far from acurate as far from it as it gets , but a cool show peice, Ive wanted interiors like that (and mabey one day will for a "reveal" style lid but I couldnt fit my head in on with all that jazz in there , (not that I ever were any of my helmets) , but yeah big difrents between them and acurate
