Look on the bright side, atleast you can fit any size of nose in there, right?
Edit: And you wont have to instal a fan?
That sucks. We should take up a fund for you. That's tragic!
Yikes!I think you took the "battle damage" and weathering a little too far.
Sorry, just trying to keep it light. That is a heartbreaker.
Sorry to see that man. Looks like it was hit by a car.
Got a paypal mate? I'm sure we can all try and chip in for a new one?
I'd totally pitch in! I'll put in $10-15 towards a Bradleyfett or SgtFang if we can get some others to do the same.
Guy's I never expected this kind of reaction, this has me speechless, TDH has been like my new family since I found these boards, and this just goes to show the type of brotherhood on TDH, I am very proud to be a part of the forums here.
I just wouldn't feel right taking your money. I did purchase a Fiberglass kit tonight, and hope to tackle this thing, it's like a vendetta now. (By the time I am done messing with this pile of junk, I might have to take you up on your offer...)
Thanks so much for the support my brothers!

Good luck with it! Where'd you pick it up?
Bondo Heaven!!! I used some JB Weld on the mandible, but I bought some bondo/fiberglass and went to town over the big cracks!!! Man I love this stuff, but boy does it smell....Yow-Zer!!!
Yeah, you probably noticed I accidently broke the range finder off. I am not having any luck with this sucker!

The vinyl i am guessing became hardened and brittle over time.
Sucks to see what happened.
Good luck with the repairs. Looks good so far. If anything you can use it to experiment on before you tackle that fiberglass bucket.![]()
Yeowzah... nice repair job tho. Looks like it might just turn out ok afterall !
Studio-
Did you and some bracing to the underside where the splits are?It is hard to type but when you brought the two sides together did you place a sheet of "something" to the underside to support the weight if the material added.
Oh if you feel this is a hopless cause to try to repair and need help I would be happy to discuss this repair with you via personal message. Not to mention if you want to get rid of it.
look at the bright side. You can now try Ideas on it that you probably wouldn't try on a decent bucket. I am doing the same thing at my new job! I work at a new Honda plant in my town and we are just starting up. All the cars we are building now are UNSELLABLE UNITS. They are going to get crashed up, and will never see the light of day. But we get to try new techniques and different products on them we wouldn't dare try on a car we were building for sale. So take this opportunity and use it to the fullest!![]()
WOW, great repair man. Fiberglass and jb weld are great![]()
Holly ****! sorry about ur luck.. at least you didnt paint it then have it tear..
You may want to look into getting some decent this time and stop wasting your time with that thing. It reminds me of a beater car.... great side project. but not something you wanna test drive and learn on.
Goodluck bro.
More progress pics fellas.
I'm still trying.

Looks a bit like your mandibles got pinched together... Any way to fix that now? :-\ Sorry to see the damage done, bud... Looks like you're tackling the rebuild like a champ tho. Congrats on the progress so far!
oooh i was thinking of flaring mine, until i saw that, glad to see a good repair done bro, nice one(random funny)
Looking good man !!!!!![]()
Yeouch! I've got an old DP (or is it Rubies) that I was gonna practice on before I got a Bobamaker bucket, but I was worried about re-shaping it.
Just one possibility, I'm thinking that maybe it might have cracked because the visor was cut out from it first. It may have had better strength to survive re-shaping if it was left in until it was done.
Just my guess though - I'm a complete noob who hasn't even painted anything in ten years! :o
Thought that helmet was a gonner, but the repair job looks great!Just a lick of paint and it could end up a great bucket!

The repairs on it seem to be working out well!
Maybe if you use a heat gun you can reshape the front...? Just be gentle.
Ultimately, the visor will probably be what holds it open and you might wait until you are ready to install that.
Im still with you studio, my camera doesnt have batteries. I may just pour you another one, as the one I have thats 'un-modified heavily' has a lot of 'clumps in it'. And its got rub and buff on it. I was testing. I should have more resin on monday.
Ill have info for you by the week ends' end.
Sorr I didnt get back to you yet.

Hey man, from having a gigantor crack in the helmet to fixing the helmet is incredible.
Great progress man, I know you can do a great job on fully repairing this.
Looks like your helmet is coming along great. Did the ears get damaged?
What The Freak!!!! Good Grief man!!! I leave you alone for one week and you start breaking everything!!! Thank God you have some serious talent and can probably fix anything...can you fix a cat???
I have a feeling his helmet will get a little better today.
I cant explain it. Its just a feeling.
I've always thought you can fix anything, till i opened up a guitar hero controller and lost half the pieces.
