Thanx spidy, that bucket looks amazing. The weathering looks very natural, I'd definitely want to get that effect on mine. Is that PaceMaker Red a Polyscale color?

Hey guys, I just got my Testors order (it only took 6 days!) but I seem to be having the purple grey boxcar red problem as pictured below...
Can anyone tell if thats a bad mix from the picture? or perhaps an alternate color I could use in place of the boxcar red?

It is NOT a bad mix....

I had the same thing when using the water based Boxcar red....

TIP..... you need to use Enamel!!!!!

Trust me, it'll make a world of difference and looks like a totally different color.

Thats sounds like good advice to me DL. :thumbup Do you got any pix of your bucket you can post so I can see the way the maroon came out on the mandibles?

    NutCore-
Here's a couple of pics I popped off. The end result is a blending of the colors rather than an in the face type contrast. I also used the "Dull cote" in layers also since if you use Dull cote last it makes the peice look very 2 dimensional. If done properly it will blend some while leaving other colors on the "surface"....it's more of a depth perception thing when viewing in person rather than in pics.
