Borden Connector

Which one should I order from? I found both of these links in a search, but I want to make sure I buy the it from the right supplier:

Well, I haven't bought one yet, but I'd suggest the three hole from the KAB Dental site. Their site has been referenced several times here when others have asked about where to buy from, they are less expensive, AND they have big, clear color pictures!

Just my opinion.

Well since you bumped it Spidey how do you guys install it? How far out is yours popping out?

Can anyone order one for me? Unfortunately I don't have the means to get one sent to the UK

Secure it around the backside inside the helmet with plumber's putty or something of the like.

I've never actually dealt with a real Borden connector.
When you buy it, do you have to cut it down to install it?
I mean obviously from the picture you have to disassemble it to get the inner 3-hole piece isolated. But after that, do you have to cut it down?

How far out from the surface of the helmet is this supposed to stick out? It looks like about 1/16th of an inch or so?? It's not flush right?

Correct. It sits out from the surface a tiny bit.

I took mine apart when installing it so it didn't stick too far out inside. Then I just used goop from the inside to secure it.

Also, after cutting the connector down to the right size, remember that you have to FLIP it so the hole orientation is correct. The CUT side faces out, so don't screw it up!

There was a thread back in 2002 - 2003 on how to do it... hmmm....
