Bobo\'s new FG Mystery Helmet

Bobo's new FG Mystery Helmet

Finally, after over a year of waiting, I have aquired my 1st fiberglass helmet that I've always wanted!
It's really a nice step up from my previous Donpost. It's from the same mold as SGTFang's resin one (as far as I can tell) since it has MANY similarities.

This one is made by the talented "marrow_sun" you see on Ebay. His helmets are top notch in my opinion. It's a raw pull that still needs alot of work, but I'm up for it! Enjoy the pics:

Here are way more pics:

Thanks for the pics, Bobo. I've been wanting to study that helmet for awhile now.

That's a standard DP in the comparisons, correct?

I think for the sake of clarity, I'm going to refer to this helmet as the Enigma helmet. The whole FG MYstery thinbg takes too long to explain.

If I ever get another mandalorian suit together, I'll have to get one of these Enigma helmets off of marrow_sun. (I hope he doesn't mind me naming his bucket.

Here's to the Enigma helmet!

I'm planning to install a mini camera on the outside. I just think it's way too hard to cut this visor area out! :p

Speaking of which, I need a dremel...but I don't need to buy one, I just need to borrow one...any leads?

If you'll notice that the earpieces are cast about 3mm thicker, so they do require alot of sanding down. They'll be closer to the helmet and more flush when I'm done with them.

I haven't seen SGTFang's work, but these resin pieces are cast extremely well. Very sharp edges and no bubbles at all!

Very Cool Pic's man!!!
I too have a M_S Helmet coming! Probably will be here by the end of this week or early next!
M_S's work looks great from what I have seen and I really can't wait to get mine!
Thanks for sharing!

I was curious, I know the "Mystery" helmets are larger than the DP versions. However, I have a large skull (not much in it, but the skull is large) ... does anyone else have a problem with one of these fitting? I mean, I can put it on, but it's TIGHT. And my nose is even mashed right up against the lens.

Thanks,

Well, I have a pretty small build (I'm 22 years old, 6foot @ 140lbs...) And the DP's fit me *just* fine I think. This one is definitely larger than the DP, but it's the largest I would go. I went with anything larger I think (such as the MSH1/2) I would look really funny. :)

Here's a large pic of me wearing it:

If you would like, I can probably post some measurements of the helmet later on. If you do have a very large head, try your hand at an MLC, or an MSH2.

Cheers,
Bartek

Not to rain on you guys in any form, its a sweet looking helmet indeed... BUT :p

I looked at MS's auction pics and the helmet looks a little warped to me in some places. Mostly in the back vents area.

Could someone who has this helmet post some pics from all the angles? I am in the market for a FG helm and want to be happy with my purchase. :)

Thanks much.

EDIT: NM, didn't see the link to all the pics. Sweet.
