Stop encouraging him....It slows him down thinking about the warm feelings he gets from us. Slam his work and he makes better progress. Watch this.

YOU SUCK D!!! Pure feces!!! I wouldn't let my two year old wear it during a tornado drill let alone actually call it a fett lid!!!

Watch and learn amigo, watch and learn...

:lol:lol:

Well if that is the case what an utter piece of c**p you have going there!!! I would seriously consider starting over and let someone who knows what they are doing paint it. At least then it would turn out right.

Just kidding bro keep up the good work(y)

ivan, ivan, ivan.... well, some more progress on the back bands...i have the whole right side done, and mostly the silver and dark grey done to the left side behind the left ear...still working on the maroon to the left...:) anyone else have a 5 year old that demands 24-7 attention...sheesh!! :wacko:lol: would have alot more done, but very busy being the end of school and all...(y) progress will pick up...promise...:D

now, is it just me, or do you have to put quite a bit of paint on for the maroon? seems like it isnt dark enough, so i have to go over it quite a bit to get it dark enough, and even then, i wonder if it is still not dark enough...i know that when i clean the brush out, it has some thinner still in it, and that may make it lighter, but still....any input? :cheers

When I use the PRR Maroon, I use 2 coats. I don't know why that particular color seems to be thinner in consistency than other Polly S. paints, but pretty much all the other colors are OK with one coat.

Yep. Two coats for that color is a must! (y)

Darrell, have a look at Terminal Fettlers paintjobs ... the color he uses is correct and only needs one layer.

:)

I used it too and it´s perfect.

BTW: Great job so far bro!

Cheers,
Manuel

Your white arch came out really smooth! Nice work. :)
The transfer lettering I use is made by Woodland Scenics. They're made for model railroads, so if there's a hobby shop that carries railroad stuff that would be your best bet.
I've never actually looked to see if they have a website.

EDIT: They do have a website. Here's the page with the dry transfer letters:
http://woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/items.cfm/ModelGraphics?StartRow=21

The set I use is called MG737 - Condensed Gothic RR Black .
Hope that's useful!
