Alright so I was painting the entire day yesterday and here we are.

The dent

Left cheek



Then I got to painting the mandibles




Added some silver damage to the RF



Let me know what you think. This isnt done by a longshot, but it is close.


edit- By the way, all the colors seem to be much brighter. They are more subtle in fact.

Hey buddy, not sure what you mean by painting uses. I think you are asking what paints I used. I used all the paints from Rogue Studios list of pollyscale paints.

Thanks. About 9 ours is all this has taken me so far. I got some more work done on it today. The back is not even close to being halfway finished.

Thanks. It is'nt as good as anything SJ has painted, but it is my first ESB so I think it is looking alright. Does anyone recomend a good out of the bottle chrome, or silver paint? I do not like the testors silver at all, it goes on unevenly and just doesnt look too good.

Manuel, I use an airbrush to get the main colors down and go topical.

Let me tell you guys that this helmet fits great even with the MQ-1. My head is pretty big, and it really FITS like bobas helmet should. It is also perfect for my body type, since I am not 6 feet tall.

Thanks for the comments guys. This is my first ESB helmet so it is alot of fun to work with. I might post a tutorial for the RF led assembly in the future, but it is pretty complicated and you can just buy the board from a member here.

Alright, I have a big big big big big big big big big update.

Well maybe not that big.

Just got the back halfway done. Its been a pain in the rear lol

I might even have a bigger update before I go to sleep tonight.

Alright I told you I had another update coming before I go to sleep.

I got the left side 99% complete. The left ear was wiped down with thinner so I could redo it. I was never fully satisfied with it.

Thanks. I used the same testors silver, but I got a newer and higher quality brush than the last one I had so the paint went on smoother.

Alright I can proudly say that I am almost at the finish line with this helmet. It is 99% done, all I need to do is finish painting the white on the left ear and I am done.

And yes, I did go a little overboard with the spattering...My mistake, lol

And don´t bother too much on the weathering, I really like it as it is now!

I used an old toothbrush. I dipped it in paint, got rid of the excess and just barely brushed against the bristles to get that effect.

Not seen this before. This is Excellent stuff. Can't wait to see the rest of the gear.
