Boba maker?

I'm looking to buy the most accurate ESB helmet pre-painted. From what I have seen bobamaker seems the best, is there a better supplier around? Preferably American because it costs a lot more to have him ship it all the way over here. But it seems he makes a quality product. Thanks!

There is the FettPride GMH and then there is the ASOK FP budget lid. Those are just base lids and you would either have to paint the lid yourself or commission someone to paint it for you and there are several on the board that provide this type of service.

slave1pilot is in the US for painting... fett4real also does good painting but I'm not sure if he's in the US right now. Shoot them both a PM.

I was actually in the same boat as you a while back. I initially wanted a FettPride helmet as he was in North America, but the wait list was huge. I also sent him a PM, but he never responded. His work is awesome, but I decided to go with Bobamaker, and I couldn't be happier. Daz (Bobamaker) is awesome to deal with, and is always there to answer any questions you may have. His paint jobs are amazing!!!!! It may be a bit more expensive getting it shipped from the UK, but if you consider you would have to pay for shipping for both a unpainted helmet, and again to get it painted here in North America, it probably works out to be pretty close in price. This is just my opinion, as I'm just so stoked on my Bobamaker helmet! You can see it here http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/post-pics-your-fett-helmets-41767/#post539366

your lid does seem great, I was really curious as to how bobamaker does a paint job and it seems like he can do both really well.

I went for a Bobamaker also and have no regrets. He does an excellent job. My helmet finally decided to paint it myself.

Yep just spoke to DAZ via email and cannot wait for the holidays to put money down on a helmet. alittle over 700 for a helmet and paint but they seem fantastic.

I would never think twice about going for Daz's gear (although I am lucky as I live in the UK).
99% of my Fett gear is from BM (including soft parts) and all painted by him.
The quality of the finish is absolutely stunning and is something I could never achieve.
Here are some pics of my 2 helmets completed by Daz.

I have a BobaMaker helmet and I love it. It wasn't one of his paint ups but still a nice helmet. My second helmet was a ASOK CC Boba. Great helmet as well, still waiting to get it back from commissioned painter. I've been on the list for a FP GMH but who knows when that'll arrive. The Fiberglass helmets are a little heavy, so I'm curious to see how the FP feels, once I actually get it! LOL

BTW, BobaMaker is great to deal with. I also have one of his Snowtroopers helmets. Always get a great product from this guy.

Good Hunting,

Ted

Yorkie Fett's photos were what convinced me to go Bobamaker! I think his first photo was my desktop background while I waited for mine to arrive...haha. great photos!

I went bobamaker as well, for an unpainted kit, his price is pretty much standard. I can't speak for fettpride or any of the others. I can speak for bobamaker, I bought my helmet, jetpack, boot spikes, collar plate, chest plates, ab plates, and vest from him. I have never had an issue with his pieces except for the bolts that held the visor in the helmet. He offered to fix it, but I found another way to do it. His wait list is usually 4-6 months depending on his work load, but the wait was always worth it. I had him paint my helmet and his paintjob is great.
