Boba Fett Pre-Pro #1 (PP1) Helmet Stencils

RafalFett

Well-Known Hunter
The last days I was working on these stencils. Let's see if somebody know which stencils these are:

........

Yes, these are the PP1 or Eyes Helmet stencils.

------------------------------------------------------
Update 26-04-2011
------------------------------------------------------
Added the Rear Panel and Rear Keyhole stencils. Replaced the Red Face stencil (corrected the area behind the right ear - replaced with a slightly modified PP3 one).

Still need to confirm if these are the right colors (the ones used are the ESB/PP3 colors).

Update 27-04-2011
------------------------------------------------------
The last days I was working on the domes (for each version of the PP1 helmet). This isn't perfect, but it's good for a start. The rest is up to you...

------------------------------------------------------
Update 29-11-2011
------------------------------------------------------
The back plates were replaced with new and improved files because the base color is now the correct one (?) and all the scratches were remade. Also replaced the perspective view files.

------------------------------------------------------
Update 17-12-2011
------------------------------------------------------
Added the Dome Top Area files for the Original and the Final version.

------------------------------------------------------
Update 25-03-2012
------------------------------------------------------
Added archived separation files in JPG format for those who want to edit or alter the stencil's dimensions.

Added the Eagle and the Final Eyes. The position may not be accurate but you can fit them as you like.

I did a separate scheme for the eyes zone because of the roundness of the helmet it's nearly impossible to set these flattered. If you want alternative eyes you can find some great templates made by Rich D. at PP1 Eyes Paint Stencils.

And here are the perspective views of the helmets:

I fixed my mistake above

Sorry, I have not read carefully what you wrote.

Supertrooper?

Nah, j/k, they are PP#1

Yes, these are the stencils for the PP1 V.1 and V.2. For me it looks more like the ESB hero and PP3 colors, this is why I did it that way. Sadly, the back of the helmet and the right part behind the ear is not visible, and I improvised those areas by inverting existing scratches and changing slightly their form. If there is someone who knows the real color, let me know to correct it.

You should have a go at the ROTJ helmet,
I get alot of PMs and emails asking if there are stencils for it ,or the PP2

You are making it to easy

It was until now. Let's see how the dome will turn out.

Are we gonna see a new helmet out of these fro you Rafal?

Sadly, no. But I hope there's gonna be others...

My first attempt was to do the ROTJ stencils (is still here on my to-do-list), but it's too hard... Even harder then the ESB stencil. There are lots of subtle colors and scratches and some of the reference images don't help, even there are lots of them. Personally I don't really like the ROTJ scheme, but I will do it in the near future...

Yes the ROTJ is the harder of the 2 screen used to do right , all the layering on the colours and the multiple difrent hues in the main colour , alot of people over look that

But IMO it's easier than the PP#2. The rear part of the dome of the #2 is madness.

but is that from exeriance or bassed on theorie ,
Ive started a PP2 , Ive been putting of for a while, for a few reasons mainly becouse I wanted to do it on the right helmet but thats seems further away than i hoped, so ive started to do it on my own helmet

Updated the first post with the Rear Panel and Rear Keyhole paint and scratches stencils. I used the ESB/PP3 color scheme because the style is similar in all 3 helmets: PP1 - PP3 - ESB.

The best prove? It's here:

And here is the 'real' PP3

Although the images have suffered color distortion you can see the same color scheme. For the parts that are not visible I used inverted scratches from the PP3 helmet for a real accuracy (if I can name this way...)

This is great! I'm probably going to use these as inspiration for the helmet I'm getting this week from Asok.

Thanks, Rich D.! This is awesome, especially coming from the best of the stencil makers. I was inspired by your work to do all of this (my way of the ESB and now the PP1 stencils that fit the RWH and any movie sized helmet).

Respect!
