    2 Weeks Ago - Nov 6, 2014, 8:41 PM - Boba Fett helmet scratch building threads #1

Hey Folks after consulting a member on this board and deciding if a thread like this was needed or not I started this thread dedicated to any and all threads that could be useful for scratch-builders. It will contain WIP's, tutorials, and anything that could be helpful for the members here. please feel free to pm with threads that I did not include or for any advice on editing this thread to better help. Well enough talking and more Boba Fett stuff!!!!!

I should also note it will be focusing on helmets made with mat-board also known as crescent board and illustration board it should be 2mm thick or 1/16 of an inch.

    first off the tutorials!

these first ones are probably the most well known tutorials
    known as antmans builds:

    scratchbuild #1
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/f...rdboard-23159/

    scratchbuild #2
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/a...h-build-24821/

this is another tutorial off from instructables:
    http://www.instructables.com/id/How-...ostume-helmet/

rafalfett's build up which includes his templates and a step by step tutorial on how to get the main helmet built.
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/r...s-build-45938/

And there's quite a bit of WIP's which can be extremely helpful as people troubleshoot, show issues with there buckets that they had to fix and more!

Bobafeind's bucket its based off of boba fetts helmet and he's very descriptive on who, what, and were, he's also a great guy!
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/j...inished-44192/

Here's terminalfettlers build which is made differently, none the less still very helpful
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/t...p-again-47582/

Noahfetts helmet which is made with a skate helmet as the dome:
    http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/w...-helmet-46662/

goodus10 beautiful bucket with great info, and all.

Great thread! Congratulations for the sticky!

Can I suggest you to add the thread title in each link? This way you will have a visually better arrangement of the first post. Here is an example using the first link in your first post:

Access the first link (in this case this thread ==> http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/f...rdboard-23159/) then copy the thread title (First post, first WOF bucket build - cardboard!) and paste it in a text editor (notepad, wordpad, etc - you need to do this step because if you copy the title from the thread and paste it into the link, you will have a pre-formatted text which will remove the address), then came back to this thread and edit the first post. Select the whole title of the first link (from the text editor) and hit the ctrl + c key combination (or left click then copy), then select the whole first link then hit the ctrl + p key combination (or left click and paste) to change the link address to the thread title like this:

First post, first WOF bucket build - cardboard!

In case you want to add a new link to your thread (this thread again as an example ==> http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/f...rdboard-23159/), you should open that specific thread, copy the thread title (First post, first WOF bucket build - cardboard!) and paste it in the text editor, then select all and copy again and paste it in your thread. Go back again to the thread you want to link and copy its address (from the browser address bar) then go back to your thread, where you will select the whole thread title then hit the link icon in the edit post bar (the earth with the infinity symbol) and in the URL frame past the link address and you will have the same result:

First post, first WOF bucket build - cardboard!
