    Boba Fett Helmet

    Hi guys,
here I#m gonna post pics of my helmet. It's the second one I'm trying because the first one was ****. Now I'm using Rafalfetts template and I have to admit that these are easy to work with.
    Enough said now some pic's:
This was my helmet todays morning

and now it looks like that

    C&C welcomed

Looking good so far keep it up bud! My biggest trouble was doing the dome and the cheeks. Just remember to go slow and be patient because it is really easy to make quick mistakes. Let me know if you need a hand with anything, here is my thread if you need any reference.

Samkrow you were right. It is really easy to make quick mistakes. :/
It is not the worst mistake but I started with the first-left slice ....

so I will have to drill the dent

next one is the size of the slices because my last slice is way too big

I dont know where to cut it so it will fit into the gap

holding it like this i would cut the lower edge
I also glued my rangefinder #

It would be very nice if you could help me with my slice problem.

What I can't tell from your images is if you have cut too much from the middle of each of the dome support sections or not. It seems that your dome sits lower than it should, especially the front part looks a bit flat, but maybe the images are distorting the dome. You could cut the lower part of the dome slice (from the image where you are holding that piece with your finger) until it fits in the dome.

    Re: Boba Fett Helmet

So, last week wasnt as productive as I thought. I did nothing because I was toying around with my 3d-printer which arrived last monday
Today I managed to cut my keyholes with my laser cutter, because I tried 5 times cutting it by hand and failed always.

This is what it looks like right now.
