Best paint/die to use on inner padding?

Has anybody painted the stock pink/vanilla foam used on the inner padding for your helmet? if so, what have yo used?

Ok, this might sound weird. But searching for a way to paint my Stormrider helmet padding I found something that might help you.

These guys use foam for most of their props and have some tips on what to use.
