So i downloaded that awesome template, i sat down cut it all out, started puttin all the pieces together and realized i better plan this out a little better before i start gettin frustrated.. This is my first attempt, and i want it not to look that way.
Is cardstock the way to go? Any advice would be appreciated..

EDIT: Great thread on cardboard/paperboard build up is here:

Keep in mind what you are going to be doing to the helmet and how much time you want to spend on it and the properties of the various materials.

Card stock: you will be spending more time on fiberglass/bondo, filler, etc. But the material will be easier to manipulate in the beginning and is cheap if you make mistakes in the initial build before reinforcement.

Cardboard/paperboard: you might be spending an equal amount of time in bending this material and putting it all together and also in the reinforcement phase, alot of builders choose this middle of the road approach, if they dont "have" to use card stock. (of the paper builders)

Sintra/plastics: you wont be spending much time filling or reinforcing, but you will be spending time heating it up, bending, etc... Its strong but a pain when you make a mistake.
