Just wondering what the most preferable kind of paint is.
that depends on what you are doing, and what skills/tools you have.
ESB helmet? rogue studios has a list of brands and colors to use, for airbrush.
RotJ helmet? there are threads with recommendations for rattlecan and airbrush?
All the airbrush colors in the world won't help if you don't have the tools though...
Well. I don't have much experience with painting. I'm not bad, but not anywhere near as good as some of the people here.
And I am doing a custom, and even though there is a spot on the forum for customs, I thought that this question would be best answered here.
I dont know if that helps, but I'm open for suggestions and am willing to try pretty much anything
i find the best paints to be the ones that i can get easily
i use all rattlecans because they are able to be sourced locally and i don't have to clean my airbrushes when i'm done.
so i generally tend to just go to home depot / lowes / autozone and go with whatever they have.
mixing rattlecan brands can be trouble... the solvent in one might not work well with another.
other than that, i've used rustoleum, krylon, duplicolor, no-name. all has been well except for the rustoleum "super bright" silver. i've had pretty much everything i've ever put on top of that peel right back off.
