The battle for the back pannels is Over - Its a Draw

Okay, I officialy hate the back pannels of the ESB helmet, so I am going to do them first. I am going to totaly finish it before moving on, I totaly botched it on my first helmet so I am putting in a major effort on this. The helmet is question is FPH #15.

Big thanks to Superjedi's FPH thread, I am basicaly matching that.

Here is what I have at the end of today. I drew these out by hand using the templates in this fourm as a quide. I did pick up some tracing paper this weekend and I will use that on the next go around. I sprayed down the Concrete to start and this is directly after peeling the mask off after spraying down the RLM 73. Its semi close, alot better than the first try.

Lookin' good! (y) I always start on the back panels too.
That way, if I mess up too bad, there's not as much to sand off and do over!

Two days of progress. Reefer gray and Silver are down for the left side and I started the silver on the right.

I am going to over haul the middle scratch on the left pannell, it is all messed up. I am most displeased with that but it should come out okay when I do the detailing, other than that I am happy with the left and the small center part. I just need that mint green paint.

And the Silver with a bit of the scratches added.

Its starting to look right. I need to do a lot of work to the right side scratch, it looks like a messed up guitar instead of England. Besides that I finished the Reefer gray on the right hand side and then started the to detail in with the RLM 73, I fixed a lot of things but some I am just going to have to wing it. A lot more detailing to go.

Looking like you got a good start there... (y)

Qn - Why haven't you cut you key-slots out yet?

It was a small oops. I started it but it did not have a mask on and was instantly hit with the dust so i left it. i will do that this weekend if I can, I know i need to get that done

Okay, I quit. This is the best I can do. I have redone alot of detail and redid the grey with the enamel instead of the accrilic and I airbrushed on a blue/green highlight color that did not really work to well but was a good learning experiance.

Looking good. As I read the thread I was going to say the gray needed to be a little darker, then I see you redid it. Much better now
