Balaclava's and Chinstraps

It alot of the pictures of custom Fett costumes I see a bit of skin under the helmet... Does anyone use a balaclava with their costume, or is that just too rediculously hot? And what about chinstraps to keep the helmet planted? Or is it not much of a concern when wearing it because of the size and shape? (I don't have my helmet yet so I don't have any practical experience)

thanks
Phil

i wore a balaclava with my version 1 boba this past haloween, but i'll probably be dropping that in favor of just the neck seal as i move on with version 2. and as far as holding the bucket on your head, it seems most people build up foam padding that holds it on pretty well.

i always wear both the balaclava and the neck seal.

that's mostly dictated by the fact that my hair comes to about the middle of my back, so keeping it where it belongs is important.

I wear a balaclava, mostly so people can't your face when they look up your helmet. You can get some real thin ones that don't heat you up too much.

I wear a balaclava primarily because the camera flashes can go right through the helmet, and I like to hide as much of my face as possible ... well I like doin' that all the time!

Funny that ya say that ... I recently got a new BM helmet! I just haven't had any pics taken with it on ... perhaps this weekend when I troop in it for the first time! Anyway, glad to know the "flash through" problem will be over!:cheers

Yep, thin;) Works BETTER than without one 1.) As stated keeps people from seeing your chin 2.) keeps sweat out of your eyes and actually keeps you cooler by wicking the sweat away. The key is THIN, like body armor brand.
