APolifka's FP Budget ESB Paintup

I've started my Empire paintup so I decided I'd post my progress here as I progress along. I've just started and it's already been an arduous, meticulous process but I have many resources at my disposal thanks to all the great members here. I'd like to give a shout out to AFFO$, Terminal Fettler, deadland, and Rich D. (formerly Count Dookie) for their amazing contributions in the way of paint lists, tutorials, WIP threads, and templates. You guys are making this a reality for me so thank you.

Onto the picures! Right now I've just about completed the first earcap. Just needs a touch of steel wool and a dusting of dulcote to call it done. The decal will be vinyl from Lucksy31 and is still in transit. Thanks for looking and any criticism is encouraged.

Regards,
Austin

looks a great start buddy. I agree how meticulous you have to be to finish with a great result, but it does make it all worth it! Peace :)

Thanks for the kind words everyone :) I hope I can at least make this first paint-up respectable, by the standards of this forum I mean. No one else is going to know how long I stared at the AOSW pics

Well I've halted work on this for awhile but I never updated this thread. Here's the back panels based on Rich D's AOSW templates.

Looking good! You finished the hardest part of the helmet, the rest is like stealing a candy from a baby... Keep up the good work!

Well done thus far as it is looking great. Keep up the good work as the back and the mandibles are the hardest with all the detail but keep at it and take your time!!!!
