another rotj helmet *UPDATED* better pics

yay for ambition. the other night i finally got some and started rocking out with the spray cans using AFFO$. it's taken me about 8 months to get past the initial coat of aluminum after cleaning up my sarge's helmet. i used the toothpaste technique, and i've got to say, once you get it on go and paint right over it. don't let that stuff get dry, it's a pain in the *** to take off. so enough about that, lets get on with some pictures. (i know they're not great pics, but i was using the only digital camera i had access to at the time; my laptops webcam. but i think they'll be good enough to give everyone an idea of how it's looking.)

so, um.... what do you guys think? i know the killstripes are missing, because i somehow managed to lose the vinyl stripes i got a few weeks back, but i'm going to be ordering another set if the first one doesn't show up in the next couple days.

UPDATE: i found the killstripes. they were in my backpack... d'oh!

i'll heist my friends camera (it has higher res than my laptops webcam) and take a few pics in the great outdoors. probably thursday, and i'll have them posted by that evening.

i dragged my feet for so long on this, then i finally just did it. now i'm itching to paint another one. so it's a good thing i've got some friends with a litle boy that wants to be boba fett for haloween. i'm going to be diging out my old rubies helmet for the cause.

i'm gonna be glassing the inside this thursday, another first for me! i'll probably get started painting a 97 rubies for a friends kid too. if anyone has any tips for fiberglassing i'd appreciate any advice you can give.

fiberglass update pic. kinda boring...
