I posted back in July/Aug that amiadfilter was zombiebuddy, and to be aware. Still haven't heard did you get your bucket yet? Don't be surprised if it takes an excessive amount of time due to his "Beware I travel alot" disclaimer that he used under all of his various names postings. This guy is real nasty, and sent me an e-mail stating " I don't want my helmet rated or compared on the TDH forum" by you guys, when I asked him if it was a re-cast of who's original work.
It definitely looks oblong, I don't even know if the earcaps would lay flush and flat on the helmet.
I dont know, maybe I should complain about it
Did you get one of his? Was it a bad copy?
HOWEVER, if you are willing to spend some extra time retrofitting the thing, then go for it as it can produce a fine product with some work.
No I was one of the fortunate ones who didn't purchase from him. At the time I was looking for a helmet as a spare, and prior to purchase was doing a little research on which one to purchase. SgtFang was moving his shop and couldn't deliver one, so I checked eBay and thats when I ran into amiadfilter. E-mailed him, and that when he asked if I was a member of TDH. I said , yes, and then didn't hear from him for quite awhile. I went onto TDH to research him and his helmet. He e-mailed me back eventually that he "wouldn't sell me a helmet because I would review it and post it on TDH." During the research, I then discovered complaints on this forum that his helmets that were of such poor quality, received after excessive delays, thin/thick areas of glass build up,and some were received damaged or missing parts.
Since then I have watched his "name change", the negitive feedback starting all over again, and trying to warn everyone to make their purchase from someone on TDH not, eBay. If you noticed he no longer has a current posting on eBay, I wonder if he is switching names again?
I know that AmiadFilter sells some pretty crappy casts, but I mean really...I don't think it's necessary for us to avoid him like the plague.
Anyone with some decent modelling skills could make something of his helmets. I've done it twice.
It really should be more along the lines of "Beware of AmiadFilter. He sells recasted helmets of a very low quality. HOWEVER, if you are willing to spend some extra time retrofitting the thing, then go for it as it can produce a fine product with some work."
IMHO, we're making this guy out to be alot worse than he really is...

i can't disagree enough!
he sells poor quality helmets for the same or more money as reputable members of TDH.
why spend the $100 on a **** one on ebay when you can get a fang one that's actually usable without a ton of work.
i had one of the early amidafilter helmets and it was TERRIBLE. i've since had a variety of others, and every last one was a LOT better.
i'd take one of the bradleyfett styrene ones over the amidafilter/zombiewhatsit helmets any day.
i guess my feelings toward this person can be summed up like this: why give money to some random person who clearly has no regard for this community?
