Here are pics of my DP95 recast. I did the cheeks seperately, on a cookie sheet...laid down aluminum foil...cut out fiberglass mat templates....and drizzled fiberglass resin onto the mats. Then repeated it until it was thick enough. As you can see, the original cheeks were pretty warped. Now, they're perfectly flat and smooth.
I also cut out, and moved the rear keyhole rectangle out and over, because the rear of the helmet was crushed and warped- not at all vertical (profile) or centered.
And I made it taller. It just looked too short, and I needed to cover my huge melon.
It measures about 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 10" tall.
Oh yeah- and I machined my rangefinder, repainted the cheeks and dome with orange stripes, redid the ears, visor, etc.
