Alloy RF top interest...

I'll try and get ahold of my helmet next week. It's in someone else's possession right now. Would probably be around midweek.....best I can do. Sorry guys...

Hi Peel
Could you post some pics on how you have fitted the mrgr8ness board in TF's topper as I simply can't get mine in at all....
Do you have to ned the LEDs in any direction first? Also what do you do with the green led? Won't it stop the white polariod lens part from fitting into the metal RF cage itself?
Cheers

Here's a quick sketch of how i fitted PEEL1965's light board. You will have to bend the red LED's cathode and diodes slightly to lower the overall height of the board ( i bowed them outwards so they don't touch ) , the white led will need to be tweaked also and then it should pop into place. Please let me know how you get on...(y) DSCF0002_124.jpg

Just getting caught up here. Working with TF on this, hopefully make it easier for future boards. Meanwhile, if the sketch above does not help, or anyone needs assistance, or does not feel comfortable "tweaking" the LED's, feel free to contact me. I can help walk anyone through it, provide video, or even send me your topper and board and I will get it in there for you if needed.

Yep, I got it now. That drawing was perfect. THANKS TF!!

I have updated post 1 with pictures showing the modifications for fitting mrgr8ness's light board. As well as pushing the red LED's down and the green LED side ways, you may also need to file a slight bevel on the leading edge of the battery carrier. These are all simple mods and allow the board to be popped in and out quite easily, i hope this helps.

Sorry TF and everyone else. Was training offsite last week and have not had access to my helmet. The guy that has it took some photos but they are a bit blurry. TF's are pretty sharp. If anyone is in need I can post some more shots.....What's there is pretty darn good though...

I received my RF today AND my led lights and I must say the craftsmanship that goes into these are awesome. I spent 20 minutes looking at the RF to see how he made it and it looks like it was casted as one piece, simply beautiful. The lights from mrgr8ness are beautiful bright and totally compliment this. Like they said a little tweaking and they do fit. Well worth the money , and I encourage everyone to get a set of these. Great work guys.

Awesome. Is the top compatible with FP's stalk (as far as where the screws on his top stalk are placed in relation to where the opening slit is on your RF top?)

Hi folks as TF's pics show (my LED board :D) the LEDs must be squashed back into the board...(both red and green LEDs). Then it will fit purrfect.. :)
The LED board is very robust and seems can take a lot of 'fett' handling... :D

Thanks TF for your help.. :)

Nice bro(y) I can start mounting the components a little different for people using TF's topper. The components can take a little tweaking with no troubles, as long as your gentle with them.:)
