AFFO$'s MS ESB Progress

I am in the mits of doing a repaint on my bucket... I amusing a similar method of stencils. I will post the stencils as I do it. This mayonase thing is great though. I cant wait to see this bucket finished!!

I got the upper cheeks painted today. I know it looks really clean right now but the weathering with the mists and pastels will come in the final step. Right now I'm just trying to get all of the major scratches and dings completed. Tomorrow I will start on the mandibles.

AWESOME(y)
Thanks for sharing the tips............one
question, in between steps, what are you
using to wash off the miracle whip with ?
Dish soap?

ok... layered all the way... so I was lookin' for an all out silver coat, make en mask scratches... give it a dark grey layer, mask scratches around the allready masked silver scratches... then the top colour... scratch off the masked dark grey and silver areas and tada

so this is over my head I gues...

well whatever you do it looks fantastic!! :D

wish I had acces to air brush etc... I HAVE to do topical... or nothing at all :p

keep going, this looks amazing!!

Another thread to add to my painting Bible.
Truly awesome work! I can't wait to see this bucket when it's done.
After reading this earlier this weekend, I had to sand down the rear of mine and do it all over...........this technique is simply superfantabulous.

Look forward to the updates,
Josh

Jeez thanks man, now I feel like a total slacker!
Absolutely incredible, how you manage to zoom through this yet get it so perfect is beyond me. Keep it up!
Oh, are you using enamel or acrylics for this one?

Looking good, love the Halls cameo in the pic above too!!

What color did you use around the silver scraches, is that Lark Grey or is something else. The pics make it look like it has a bit of a greenish tone to it.

Hall's is my sponser, so I'm legally obligated to do product placement in one out of every nine posts.

Yes, the grey around the scratches is Lark Dark Grey. The greenish tint may be due to the lighting.

Spent the evening applying the red to the brow and the left mandible. Tomorrow evening...the right side. I've also included some comparison pics of the AOSW Tour Helmet, my MS1, and the ESB Screen Version to highlight some of the differences in the helmet THEN versus the helmet as it exists today.

I'm not...I hate having to drag out my airbrush. This is all brushed on or straight out of the spraypaint can. :D
