Your Ideas for a Boba Fett Inspired Lightsaber?

New Hunter
I've toyed around with the idea of commissioning a Boba Fett inspired lightsaber hilt and think I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on it. It would mostly be a display piece, but who knows maybe you'll see it out and about in costume. I was thinking of a sleek Old Republic-esque design rather than the bulky kind Luke had in ROTJ. I pictured a saber taken as payment for a bounty or off a bounty himself that Boba repurposed as a tool for himself. I wanted something that wouldn't look out of place dangling from a Fett belt; so obviously some combination of red, green, black, and silver. I also thought it would be really cool to have accent lights reminiscent of the chest armor lights.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. I'm curious about what the rest of TDH thinks before I actually start working a design and writing a check. Below are two of the saber smiths I was looking at for reference.

I look forward to hearing what you all think!

Having swung some of the Force FX sabers around a bit, I really don't find the Luke ROTJ bulky. It's actually one of the better balanced blades, if not the best of Hasbro's Force FX line that I've used (though I've not had a chance to try out all of them). The switch box is a little inconvenient, but nowhere near as bad to handle as Vader's saber.

For Fett, I could also see something similar (probably with a different emitter area) to Rahm Kota's blade, at least in terms of some sort of wrapping on the handle- likely made from Wookiee braids or Trandoshan skin, though I would incorporate a little more weathered grey or Boba-green metal bits in spots.

How about something like this? From my own personal collection...

That's really awesome, butterbean. I've put mine on hold until I get moved and know I have the cash set aside.
