who is this

Remember guys, these are our personal costumes and yes, it is okay to wear them outside of Halloween and 501st events.

No, I know and if I saw Stryder out on the town dressed like Boba Fett, I would go up and talk to him about his costume and Star Wars because we would have a common interest. That's the great thing about conventions. All I am saying there alot people out there who don't share the same feelings as we do about Fett and SW, and when you add alcohol you get some real winners out there.

Being in Las Vegas, I deal with more drunks than you could possibly imagine while in costume, never once had a problem.

I guess, I never really thought about people wearing costumes other than for a Con, Halloween, or trooping event. I have been to Vegas a few times, your'e right I can' even imagine the drunks you have had to deal with there.

Being a 501st member, alot of times at troopin events there are so many times, when we have been asked not to carry a blaster with us. Which to me is unfortunate because all of us spend time and money either buying or building great blasters to go with our costumes.

When I see videos of stuff like this or for example the vader who robbed a bank, I get concerned that a person actions might someday ruin the fun for the rest of us.

That is all I have to say on this topic.

Being a party to or helping cause any sort of scene like this that would affect other costumers in the community or in the state is a really bad idea imo.

Don't ruin it for all of us please.

Stryder, keep doing what you're doing, my man. All in all, regardless of the parties/strip clubs, I'm sure you're involved in more charitable causes than those who are quick to knock you.

Memory serves me right, Jabba's palace wasn't exactly St. Patricks Cathedral. : )

Word !!!

I don't think we should be comparing Jabbas Palace with real life...just my opinion....

Also lets remember how issues that have been perceived a scandals have affected the reputation of those who have also been involved heavilly in charitable endeavors....I'm thinking Jimmy Swagart and other "tele-vangelists" Additionally the actions of those few have tarnished the reputations of the others involved in charitable endeavors who did not participate in Scandalous activities, no doubt resulting in a loss of support from the community at large.

I for one would not like to see fewer opportunities being presented to us to support the community or participate in charitable endeavors due to viral videos like this becoming more prevalent.

Do Not Mis-Understand me...I am not judging anyone just chiming in with my two cents!

Thanks for listening!

Thats like saying Bad Cops or Bad Hose Monkeys (fire fighters) make it bad for all other cops and fire fighters who do charity work. Almost everyone knows a bad egg from the rest. I say Rock Out The Fett EVERYDAY!! If I could, I would! (except at banks and funerals...well most funerals)

Nothing personal My Friend, but as a Police Officer myself, I would disagree that bad cops don't make it bad for the good cops. I can say from experience that I am scrutinized more and more every day because of events like this where there is perceived police brutality. I say perceived because I was not there and did not see the entire event, so I can not judge. however I did hear in that video that people were chanting police brutality, so that was perceived on some level.

If the co-ordinators at a Childrens Hospital or other charitable organization who were considering inviting a Costuming group to come and do an event for them, and they had no previous experience with costumers, were to see this video do you think they would be more likely or less likely to proceed in inviting us to do an event for them?

just something to think about....

Maybe I'm blind, but in the video I see a scuffle in the background and I see two guys in a booth having a meal witnessing the said scuffle. Don't see how the costumed fellows are in anyway involved or behaving inappropriate other than some sideline commentary. Boba "Stryker" Fett just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

i apologize...I never said that I felt the costumed individuals were involved in the actual event, but I can see where you thought I implied that. I do not think they are involved. I apologize again!

My comments were directed at the discussion that followed the initial post.
