Where should I get my mythosaur tattoo?

I know theres a couple threads floating around of peoples' amazing Fett and Star Wars related tattoos... I would post in there but I don't wait to intrude on anyones thread and I wanted your input on it anyway heh...

I want to get the mythosaur either on my arm, my forearm, or my leg. Where do you guys think i should get it? I've seen a guy on here with it on his forearm, that was pretty awesome! I saw one with it on his arm. What do you guys think?

Also, if you have any cool mythosaur designs I'd like to see em. I was gonna do a plain black or red mythosaur skull solid color but if you have a cool design id like to check it out! Thanks in advance guys.

Umm, what is a mythosaur? Are you talking about the mandalorian skull symbol?

My advice to you is to get it where you feel comfortable showing it off

truthfully i think you can't go wrong with placement with that tattoo. It just looks cool everywhere!

Personally I think the best place for it is on the left upper arm, right where it would be on the armor, in black or dark red, oh and it should be the ROTJ version lol. But it does look good just about anywhere, any color or design.

I definitely know I want the ROTJ version, I just like it's overall look better. I kinda like the thought of "It will look good anywhere!" haha, makes me feel better. I kinda want it visible so people can always see it ya know? So if any other fett fans notice it we can chat haha. I dunno... The shoulder (where it would be on his armor) does sound pretty awesome... so does the leg and forearm. Gah! decisions!

How big do you want to go? Mine is 6.5 inches from tip to tip and I love the placement

Yeah thats true... I just like the idea of having it where his armor would be, or on my forearm where people can see it. heh. I'll get it as big as I can fit wtihout it looking rediculous, probably not as big as yours if its on my arm.

I would put it on the left shoulder like Boba has on his armour. That way it could be easily hidden if needed.

I was thinkin that too GCN. For work purposes... it's either going to be the left shoulder where his armor is or the forearm i've decided down to those. Anyone have any cool pics of the ROTJ style skull? Like ones with a little flare or custom design element to them? Just getting some ideas together. Thanks!

mine is the same design/color as my avatar, placed on my left shoulder. just not as bright green anymore. only regret is not going bigger. looked big on paper. oh well, just have to add on to it.

Hey smc, when u go to get it done, do you hve to have an image the exact size you want it? Or can the tattoo artist scale it to your liking?

I did the drawing / tracing, scanned it, then printed out different sizes. chose the size I wanted then brought it to the artist.

the artist can usually scale it too

Ok, thanks a lot for that! It would suck if I went in with a size that wasnt good haha...

In deciding where you want to put the tattoo, don't forget to think ahead. Although now-a-days tattoos are WAY more accepted then when I first started getting them, you still have to put a little thought into it.

By this I mean think about what you would like to do career wise. Forearm tattoos and full sleeves rock, but some careers may frown upon visible or extreme ink. I started getting ink 18 years ago, and I wanted to be a cop so I kept them in places that they would not be seen, even in short sleeves (upper arm, back, leg). After I landed a job I began expanding, still keeping them mostly "out of site" (full back piece, full leg sleeve, half arm sleeve). At this point I'm 12 years on the job and my Department is okay with ink showing so I'm slowly expanding down my arms. I'm still not going too extreme out of respect for the fact I am a Detective, and have to deal with all sorts of people on all sorts of things, and not all of them are open minded with tattoos.

And don't forget, once you get one you WILL want more. I'm living proof, 18 years later and still going strong...:b

As for the Fett skull, I'm Navajo (obviously, LOL) so I made mine custom... the skull with various symbols from an Ancient Native language, they mean various things of importance such as faith, loyalty, change, strength, etc...

Navajo! That is incredible!!! Yeah, I know what you mean... I have some on my back as well... I was thinking of getting it on my leg... That isn't too bad. I just don't know how big to get it. I thought more about it, like you said... and even tho i t would be hidden by my sleeve on my arm... out of respect for other people and work, etc... I think on my leg would be better... Alltho I'm going into 3D graphic modeling and some of the artists I've read upon have a few tattoos... and some crazy piercings O_o haha... but you never know where life takes ya you know? heh... so I want it on my leg. You got any more pics of that really awesome design of the skull you have? I like how you incorporated things that meant a lot to you in it. :D
