I understand that people are upset and some feel betrayed, but what Cruzer has asked, I am stating; do not turn this into a bash thread. Two wrongs don't make a right so maintain a respectful tone, even when speaking of a previous member. Disagreeing is one thing and understandable. Beating someone when they are down is another. We all know what has happened here. There is no need to belabor the point. If we see this thread continue to deteriorate we will lock it.

I'm fairly new here, but have read a lot. I might be wrong but are you even alowd to post pictures of his site? Wouldn't it break certain copyright laws he may have on that website? I don't know if its a big deal but I was just wondering.

Well, the issue is, that it was meant for reference to who had not seen his site to know if he had been using stuff that wasn't his. As you see above, MOW had spotted that it was his jet pack on that site. But the site got taken down before he could spot it. It gets technical, if they are still up, I suppose that there isn't a problem because I would be sure that The Dent would take them down.

To get back to the main issue about wether or not this could have been handled better, I have to stick with what The Dent said; there cannot be any exceptions to the rules. If you or I do something that qualifies as a bannable offense, then so be it, the person in question should be banned.

It's the only way to ensure absolute equality in that the rules are equal to everyone, regardless of what status or reputation a member here has.

Thats how I feel about it at least.

Silly question. I know. Im full of them:)

How much are the jet packs from man of war?

Maybe he was going to buy and resell them:) Maybe secretively, man of war has a pyramid scheme going! Maybe, if you can just get 10 people to sell man of war items, and they can get 10, you could retire in 2 years!

I keed.

In all honesty, its sad that things have turned out the way they have. Im proud of the members here, im proud to know most of you, and im proud of the way this site maintains its self.

Its very easy to understand how people, especially young people see dollar signs everywhere. The dark side is corruptive, and the quick path is always the path to the dark side. It easy to understand how he could react and be very defensive, and its easy to understand why some of the artists here, could be so upset.

When I first came to the 'internet' as a online game programmer, i was hot headed, and emotional, and everything was personal. Its part of youth.

Its just a shame that youth is wasted on the young.

I'm a little confused....was he recasting and selling all of these items as his own work(Christian's jet pack, the Jango armor and helmets, etc.) or was he buying and reselling? The homepage implies they were his work, so I suppose it's unethical either way....

Based on what I have seen, he was recasting.

Aside from that, theres one more thing I feel needs to be said. As many various groups and organizations Ive been a part of in my life so far, I find that they are all similar in that, your always going to have the same types of people roll through, good and bad. It's something that as a group, I feel has to accept, that nothing will ever be perfect. It can be close, but it's nearly impossible.

Dont take me the wrong way, Im not saying to just let this kind of thing go, but I feel that it needs to be understood. We didnt go wrong in a sense that we as a group didnt do the "right thing," but that it's just another part of being in a community and a family, it's bound to happen regardless of how much we try and prevent it.

Its never a question of "if," but really, "when." lol Ive been through alot of rough spots before in other organizations before, and it's honestly nonthing new, its just a matter of how you deal with it, and just doing your best to do the right thing, and instilling that into everyone that becomes a part of it. Thats all I guess.
