What's your occupation?

Im currently working for a large company in the uk, i work as a tagging officer, basically i fit tags around peoples ankles that have come out of prison or are on bail, i have to make sure they are not violating their curfews and occasionally have to track them to see if they are where they should be.....its as close as a bounty hunter im gonna get!!

Human Capital Management Services.
Boring. As. Hell.
More or less, it's a staffing agency for IBM and some other software comapanies. Individual consultants and 1099 people send their invoices for hours worked to me, I process them, and make sure the people get paid. The work is tedious and repetitive, and while my department is all cool people, everybody else in the company is mean and not-so-cool. Definitely pays my bills, and funds the costuming hobby.
When I turn 21 I will try to get a bartending job on the side for some extra dough.

I'm a peon.

As of right now I do concrete work (Sidewalks, drives, mobile home pilars and foundations, mobile home people are great to work with. :p ;) ), I've also recently added water services under my belt, which went alot smoother than I could of expected. But later on, I have plans for Hollywood. *smells hands* "Supastar!" I realy have no idea what my profesion will be as of yet.....I've thought about 5-6 things, but they all have draw backs of some kind, and there's deffintly no buisness around here for anything. :(

strip club dj. i play the songs that the girls get naked to so you give them money. and then they tip me at the end of the night. we call it, "the circle of life." then on my days off from there i spin at another local night club. and i also own my own mobile dj service. pretty much if it involves having a party i'm involved in it someway.

hey jango5402, i've always wondered about this: in my line of work could i write off a DUI as a business expense?

I am a planner/buyer. I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each day of someone else's money:lol:

Prior to that, I worked as an electronics technician, specializing in industrial electronics- drives for motor speed control. I did field service for companies and fixed their assembly lines, HVAC drives, printing presses, wherever there are big electrical motors.

How do you follow that one up!?!? I guess not like this- I'm president of a small financial advisory firm. Been at it for about 8 years after trading at a large regional brokerage.

Nice to see so many diverse occupations. I am an historian; my job is to salvage archives and help retrieving information and documentation of absolutely all sorts.

tech nerd.

i'm a senior linux systems administrator for a healthcare related business. we take over the scheduling / billing / faxing / etc... for doctors' offices, and manage it all in house with a web interface to it all.

i make sure that the web interface is available 24 x 7 x 365.

I'm a Canadian Federal employee working for Royal Canadian Monted Police. Without me, those poor boys would be going to work naked!!

Okay a motion has been passed and Saint Nasty is the winner LOL! Been with the same corporation/ownership since 1992, and I love every minute of it. Also, I am working on a new, fun business venture as we speak!

I'm an operations manager for a Japanese electronics company's western Canada division. I absolutely hate it! That's why I'm going back to school part time to get my Paramedic certifications. I'm sick of having a job I hate just because it pays the bills.
