what are your views on M. Knight's Last Airbender movie?

6th sense is an excellent film, and so is unbreakable, after that they started slipping down pretty quickly. signs was all right, the village was grasping at straws, lady in the water and the happening were wth??? i've never watched the show, Avatar - The Last Airbender, but that didn't stop that movie from being one big overblown poop-storm. i cared nothing for any of the characters, the plot was non-existant, all it had going for it was pretty eye candy. if i wanted that i'd check my brain at the door and watch Star Trek again.

The tv show was awesome - a really fun show that didn't dumb down for morons like most cartoons these days.
I liked M Night Shama-lama-ding-dong's movies for the most part. Since the Village he's been on a steady decline - this movie was evidence of that. The Airbender movie was possibly the biggest let down (besides EP I - or the other prequels) I've seen. I mean - wow - real bad so much potential was missed - the biggest problem is that it should never have been made into a live action film - there's just too much that can't be translatted from animation and too much from a 30+ hour series to be turned into a 1 1/2 film. Plus the voice acting was far better than the live acting in the film - which says a lot.

I'm with you Saint, the Star Wreck movie - I saw again just to make sure I wasn't crazy - nope - it was total crud - just a stupid, stupid movie..by another overrated director - JJ "Lense Flare" Abrams.

If M Night's movies continue their current rating trend, two movies from now his ratings will be negative three percent. NEGATIVE THREE PERCENT! Babies will have to be born knowing they'll watch his movie and give it a negative review. And this is the man who was chosen to make a live action of one of my top favorite animes... for shame

In My Opinion it was BAD

He twisted the story of it around a bit which made the entire movie a wth? He messed up a movie that was already planned out by a tv show.

his first 3 major films where his best and i dont know why film studios keep letting him make movies, it is wrong to hope a studio drops some one because one day i hope to be a major film director and i would be sad if the studios dropped me. but there are times when you gotta do what you gotta do. But now an days the studios just look on the amount money they earned, what ever happened to movies having a great story and looked visually great?

he is kinda like becoming uwe boll (if you guys dont know him he is the director who makes movies based on games yet are the worst movies of all time and he even has the balls to declare him self the only genius in the movie industry)

Back to M, When his new film Devil comes out its going to be worst on all charts why? well because people lol and state awe because they already know its going to be bad just because they see his name on it.

The actors M got for the last airbender where bad they couldnt act like how there characters where in the show, soka (if thats how you spell it) wasnt the funny type of guy he was in the tv series, aang wasnt the same either.

Actually Buena Vista (Disney) did drop support of The Lady in the Water when that was in preproduction. Tip of the hat to those folks. I'm all for giving a guy a chance. It's not easy to top yourself when you debut with a brilliant first film, but at some point you do have to pull the plug. I do think the plug won't stay in for much longer.

MNS was quoted by People (?) magazine shortly before/after Unbreakable was released that he was "going to be bigger than Spielberg." Yikes.

The man made a graph...this pretty much ends all discussion :D

I like all of M.Nights movies. That does not mean they're all good but I enjoy his style and story telling. (even if it is predictible) I do not know how reliable my opinion is because I love all of Guy Ritchies films aswell and I know there are quite a few people who do not. I also like Waterworld.

to tell the truth... i lied. i F***ing HATED the movie! there was a total lack of the Kyoshi Warriors, they said many of the names wrong, NO KING BUMI... i can rant all day, but i won't
