What would you pay for this bucket?

Hi folks

I've got a buddy who found a DP '97 and is looking to sell it. He says it spent some time warping in his car and it's not in the best shape. But I do think it can be salvaged. Just wondering what you all think it might be worth. The guy is a friend so I don't want to rip him off. Just want to give him what it might be worth.

For me it seems that the helmet can't be salvaged. It's too warped and the excessive heat deformed the helmet beyond repair. I won't need it even if it were free of charge.

But this is just my opinion...

I was kind of afraid of that.

Do you think it could be warmed up a bit and formed back into shape?

It is possible to do some reshaping, but from the images you posted I don't think there's much to do: it's twisted, bended and altered by pression and heat. Maybe the pros here will tell you more.

PASS.
For the amount of work your going to have to put into it, your better off saving some cash and getting a helmet off Asok buying a Sgt. Fang helmet or GMH.

but it really depends on what you building, a Halloween costume or a accurate movie replica.

The helmet is fully salvageable... for a kids toy. Dip in in boiling water, it will reshape easily, then shock it in cold water so it sets. It's made out of vinyl.

That being said, I wouldnt take it for free either. No club accepts it, it's a teribble shape and sculpt, even when not deformed, it's tiny, has a mushroom headed dome etc. Fix it up, give it to your kids to play with a getter a proper helmet.
