What does your sign on name stand for???

I know this is a little odd but it should turn out fun as well. So all you need to do is explain why you have that sign on name and what it means. Mine is whistle8mp because in the town I grew up in my buddys and I used to hang out on the railroad tracks, I must have been fourteen and every time there was a road crossing there was a granite post in the ground that had a W and a number under it to let the conductor know when to blow his whistle. So we used to hand out at W 8 hence whistle8. Well I'm not going to get into it but there was a tragic event that happened one summer day that I will never forget so I have whistle8mp to remember that spot and to never forget my friend.The mp are my initials.

Mine comes from my adult leader training in Boy Scouts of America known as Woodbadge.Scout leader training that has been around since the early 1900's.
At the start of this 6 day training particpates are broken up into patrols.I was in the Antelope patrol.During that week we were called "lopers" so when I came home and needed a Star Warsy name I dropped the "s" and put a "o" and thus became "Lopero"

I would take the juvenile delinquents in my care on survival hikes and teach them survival skills. Most of them knew I also owned two of the town's only dojo. Most of them had never been out of the city. Or even had an adult give them any measure of trust.
It seemed I was always being approached by old students of one type or another and thanked for the very hard earned lessons they learned. I always tell them they did all the work.

well my pastor at my church thought my name was corby and so then all my friends started calling me corby and it just stuck

well, I was trying to think up a name for myself. at first, I was wanting a Jango or Boba suit. I originally thought of Infrared as my name. Infrared, is just basically cameras that can pick up heat or coolness. then, I just thought InfraFett, and I liked it.

Im a musician and got into electronic music in about 1995 - started making mechanical music but found out about chiptunes and I LOVE old videogame sounds/songs... reminds me of hours and hours in the arcade...

So my music is kinda childish and kinda mechanical - I imagine how I'd say it when I were a kid - so its mckenical - hence mckenic

Well mine has been derived from a nickname MOJO, this was due to the fact that I was and still a huge 'Doors' fan and the anagram of Jim Morrison (also lyrics from one of their songs) was 'MR MOJO RISIN' that and I'm a Fett fan... thus was born Mojo-Fett :D

Well I work as a Lighting and Sound Technician in the Theatrical entertainment industry. I kinda do a whole lot of everything as a technician but lighting was what I started out in and is still my favorite part of the industry. So yeah Light_Tech just kinda stuck.

One of these days when I get my suit put back together I'll take some of the extra fixtures at work and do up a photo shoot and get some good shots.

Well, my last name is Soloway, and what works better in front of the letters "Solo" than "Han". Plus, my dog's name is Han, so technically I guess I named myself after the dog.

Mine has several meanings. Fett never dies, he can't be killed or so it seems. But what it really means is that I've been working on my costume since late 98 or early 99 and am still not done with it. I had a very horrid version finished at one point which I refer to as my beta version. Then once it is finished, as many of you know, there is the never ending upgrades and tweeks.

I enjoy Games Workshop miniature games and play Chaos in both 40K and Fantasy. I was trying to come up with a sign in name for a website one day and went through every named Chaos character I could think of, but they were all taken. I tried chaoslord (the general of a Chaos army is called a lord) and it was taken, too. So I finally tried a variant spelling and thus xaoslord was born.

Mine was meant to be an homage to Cabaret Voltaire, an expermental electo-new wave band from the 80's (poster in Ferris Buellers room) and my punk-new wave roots. I needed to come up with a screen name while signing up at clonetroopers.net 3 years ago. I happened to be listinening to a remix of some old new wave and Voltaire was on, so it was done on a 2 second whim. Totally forgot about the French philosipherr dude. I had no clue any of this stuff was going on in the world until after I attended CIII. I had never gone beyond e-mail back on those days, so I had no clue what a costume forum was (except for Starwars.com and the Force.net) I sold my golf clubs and here we is!

It's very interesting how everyone got their screen names. Mine is my first 501st approved costume which is a sandtrooper (TD) and my ID# is also my home address 2253.

Well, my last name is Piazza, so since I was a little people have been calling me pizza. 24 is derived from the most epic number on the planet. mine came from 2 of my favorite movie characters of all time. Darth Vader, And jason Voorhees, of Friday the 13th fame...so we have Darth Voorhees. Not that complicated, lol, but fun!

Mine comes from a UK comic strip called Sinister Dexter (left and right in Latin). The adventures of two gun sharks (hitmen).
It has been mentioned by friends that I resemble the character Finnigan Sinister drawn by Simon Davis and Sinister has been my nickname for about 10 years, partly due to this and also to do with my fascination (probably too strong a word) with the darker side of human nature. The Fett part was added due to the content of this board and the fact that Fett too is sinister in the everyday meaning of the word.

I chose Paul Atredes choice of name that the Fremen call him openly. I was planning to do a Sandtrooper at the time and thought it'd be a neat little in-joke.

"Gypsyboy" was the first email name I ever used, don't remember how long ago now. I got it from one of my favorite comedy movies, The Inspector General with Danny Kaye. "Things are not as bad as they look, gypsyboy, no sir. They're MUCH worse." Anyway, I stuck with it at first because I knew if I stuck with one sign on name I would be less likely to forget it. It started to catch on though, and eventually I got the shorter nick-name "GB" - from Vaderkinde, actually.

Lets see mines began when I first found TDH and I started making my very own first bucket from sheet aluminum. A while back they told me I was the first one to ever make one on this forum. Secondly a good 80% of my ROTJ Fett outfit is handcrafted in aluminum sheet metal. I find the discovery of and the use of metal very interesting, it can be used for so many purposes. Most of all I've always been creative with metal and rather use it for most prop building.

i got my name from a road sign in norther ontario. Jim Beef Lake Road, as it is called, looks more like a narrow driveway, and will not lead you to a lake. my buddy and i thought that the name jim beef needed to become something more, so it's been my online name and gamer tag for the last four or five years.

TK-Devo stands for.... TK, since i'm a Stormtrooper, and Devo because my name is Devon!

My sign on name is of course the comic book character from Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.S. Famous for his skills with guns and calling headshots. I was more into X-men's Gambit character but I liked Grifter's name better.

Mine's "Shiruba" cause that means silver in Japanese. Sounds Star Wars-ish. My blonde hair went a little silver early. Problem is, nobody can remember it...

Might be easier if we changed it to "silvermane." :)

Makes sense to me :thumbsup I've shot several weddings as well as a couple of other smaller gigs. It's a lot of fun, weddings can be a little stressful, but fun none the less. I love your logo, btw, it's very professional.

my name came about a few years back.. Me and a buddy at the time were starting a car club and since we did most of the work on our vehicles at night and always had a bit of a twisted mind we kinda just put two and two together. started using the name on aol and at the time couldn't have spaces so put the X in there... been using it for forums and the like ever since..

Mine is originally a name I made up for a character in a screenplay I wrote about 12 years ago. It's the name of my custom Mando and pretty much any SW character I make up. The full name is Jaiden Turr'n, but I can't figure out how to get my screen name changed to show that. :doh

Well, there is some crazy Spanish song my aunt used to sing to me when I was born and it had some word in it that sounded like Esto or something like that and then everyone just began calling me that I guess and then my uncle bought me this football jersey and it had ESCHO on the back in the name area???

Escho became Esh and it's stuck ever since. It gets crazy though because my real name is Ismael so people think Esh is really Ish which it isn't but I can see where they screw it up. Also, most people think Ismael is really Ishmael or Ishmail which are different spellings of my name but not the way I/We spell it...Confused yet?

34 is just my favorite # from hockey. I've played ice hockey since I was 8 and still do all the time. Growing up I was a huge NY Ranger fan and John Vanbiesbrouck was my favorite goal-tender. Obviously his # was 34 and it's been stuck with me ever since.
