What book are you currently reading?

I'm currently at work on a boat in the gulf of mexico, we're not really working that much though, so i have a ton of down time. In order not to watch all the movies i brought on my portable hard drive i have a small zombie filled library with me. Here's the list:

Zombie survival Guide
WWZ
How to survive 2012
How to survive a Robot Uprising
50 reasons people give for believing in god

now that i reread it, it sounds kinda morbid. I might be too scared to get off the boat!

If any of you guys are interested, I would really recommend the fantasy series called 'A Song of Fire And Ice', by George R. R. Martin. It's a really well written series, and truly epic in scale. I have read all four books that are currently in the series, and with every other follower of the series, is currently waiting for the fifth title to be released. A good read folks, check it out. :)

Just finished "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. Now reading Karen Traviss' "Revalation"; I'm working through the Legacy of the Force for the first time.

I see alot of Salvatore fans...love his work. I can also highly recommend Gates of Fire and Rogue Warrior.

I just finished Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell and now I'm reading Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose.

After 2 non-fiction books I get to read some trashy sci-fi book...probably something from Forgotten Realms.

Until the 501st novel comes out I am reading the second book in the Xwing series.
I am also waiting on the Milleium Falcon to come out in paperback(I am to cheap to pay the hardbound price)

Waiting on the next SW book. Reading 20th Century Russian Poetry, Dumas' Le Chevalier de Sainte-Hermine, Jo Graham's Black Ships, & Gail Z. Martin's Dark Haven.

I just finished “Tides of Darkness” which is a Warcraft novel… that was a fun read.

Right now I am reading a book called “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” – it’s a re-write of the classic novel as if it had been set in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. It’s not great, but it’s not all that bad either. A little slow moving for a novel of this genre.

I should be done with my current book in a few days and I haven’t decided what will be next. I just ordered a TON of books off of Amazon – I think the total was around 14 (Can you tell I like to read? Didn’t think so).

=)

Just finished reading This Book Is Broken by Stuart Berman. It's an oral history of Broken Social Scene (a Canadian Indie Rock band)

I have two books on the go right now:

Order 66 by Karen Traviss
Heat by Bill Buford (I love books about cooking and kitchens)

I have a ton of SW books to read! My girlfriend and I have been stockpiling for a while now so we had to impose a book-buying moratorium. She's currently reading The Dark Lord Trilogy.

I'm reading War on the Eastern Front by James Lucas. It is always of interest to see how the Germans, vastly out numbered, would manage to hold off 100+ T34's SU's & KV's with a couple of Marders, a handful of MK IV's with a couple Panthers or a Tiger or two for good measure. Anyway, guess how it ends?

A great series i just read was
LAST OF THE JEDI

Dude. I heart me some Drizzt.

Now reading Stephen Hunt's The Court of the Air, Christopher Priest's The Prestige, Cherie Priest's Not Flesh Nor Feathers, & still working on Dumas' Le Chevalier de Sainte-Hermine.

ETF typo.

Currently re-reading some of the older Wild Cards series (edited by George R. R. Martin...lotsa people write in them). Always found them fun way back when I started getting them and just found a box with quite a few of my old books in it. Interesting "What If?" type "history".
