Well...I'm up late

I'm sitting here trying to get some more stuff done on my Boba and I figured I'd take a break.:wacko I just figured out how to get my chest lights attached to my chest armor and I have just finished sticking industrial strength velcro to the back of my armor. I have a seamstress coming by tomorrow to take my vest and sew velcro to it. I don't have time for snaps this year. She's also gonna have to let out the seams in the flight suit I got from Gabriel. Apparently my butt and thighs are a little disproportioned with the rest of my body:lol: Hopefully tomorrow my gauntlets and wookie braids will come in the mail. Still waiting on my replacement belt from Taco, but I'm sure he's on it. Hotshot says the blaster will be here by Wednesday. Man I hope so. The only thing I'm lacking is a jet pack. I tried and tried to get one by Halloween, but to no avail. My local Hastings had a Star Wars costume contest a couple of days ago and a stormtrooper won. I'm sure I woulda won if I had been ready. There are plenty of other contests on Friday, but I'll feel incomplete without that jet pack. IDK, whatta ya think? Me and several friends are going out in various SW costumes in a 15 passenger van. My wife is going as Padme, and she'll look fantastic, believe me.:love This will be the first year in a SW costume and I'm pumped. I'm not into it to win a contest, but it sure would be nice to be recognized. It's alot of work as everybody on here knows. Anyway...just wanted to chat and share my trials and tribulations. Only 5 days left and alot to do. Still checking on here for a jp. Overnight one to me and I'll feel much better:D.

but I'll feel incomplete without that jet pack.

Man I know how that is. Was in a contest over the weekend, and if I had my blaster (also from Hotshot:)!) and a jet pack, I'm sure I would have stood out a lot more.

And 5 days? You can do it! I have faith.
And you better get lots of pics!

I think it was about 4 and a half months. And that was many of my weekends, a lot of hours during official "work hours" (one of the benefits of working in sales and out of your home...*shhhh!!*), and way too much money!! lol

But it can be done. As long as you can stay below the wife/significant other/girlfriend radar!!

Well, I haven't really stayed below the radar, which is why my wife is so ready for Hallowen to hurry and get here. I spent today trying to fix the gauntlets that I purchased. They came with the hinges broken, a substantial crack in a rear corner, the flamethrower nozzles fallen off, and very thin shoddy plastic. Pretty p.o.'d considering what I paid. If I hadn't been in such a rush I could have probably found something better, but that's the breaks. I will have to take it up with the seller, as he is a member on here and sells on Ebay. Don't want to call anybody out, so I'll wait to see if he tries to make things right. On the bright side, his aluminum parts are pretty good. Anyway...I also strengthened up the gauntlets with some fiberglass resin applied to the inside. It was messy, but hopefully it'll help. Eventually I'll post a pic of the finished product, but for now I just want to get it finished. Holla!
