Weapon Policy at Conventions

I know for a fact this was a topic earlier but I wanted more of an opinion than anything...

I will be debuting my Fett at Otakon and it was brought to my attention that their weapon policy, specifically gun policy, is nuts... almost over the top strict. Wether it is true or not, I don't know... I've been told I would absolutely not be allowed to have the blaster there, and I've been told that if I put an orange cap on the tip (which would suck royally), I should be fine... Would you guys bother taking it? I really don't want a bright orange thing at the end of my barrel and I don't want to walk to the con with it to b told I cant have it :\ But at the same time, I'd feel naked without the blaster in my hands ya know? What do you guys/gals think? Thanks in advance!

If that were the rule and I was in your shoes, I would just put a temporary orange plug in, so that I wouldn't feel strange without the blaster in my hands. That way, when the convention's over, you can just take it out again. Don't know how much help that is, but, hope it helps at least a little.

It helps, Im just looking to see what other people would do. That orange plug, as simple as it is... will really be an eyesore to me :\

How obvious does the plug have to be really? I mean does it have to completely cover the end of the barrel or can you just have one that you can put into the end of it? Do the rules specify that?

NO GUNS of any kind will be permitted. Examples include, but are not limited to, pellet guns, BB guns, air guns, crossbows, dart guns, blowguns, water guns, or water pistols. Real guns, replicas of real guns, stun guns, and tasers are also prohibited. The ONLY exception to this rule will be prop guns or resin models that are easily identifiable as toys, provided that they possess no moving parts and are clearly marked with a non-removable orange tip.

Thats their policy on guns... the killer is non removable... I think if they inspect it, see that its resin/rubber, see the orange tip... it should be ok... I hope... still blah tho haha
