VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TDH/AYW BOOTH AT SW CELEBRATION 6!

IHi everybody!
Celebration 6 in Orlando is fast approaching and yet again we will have a booth. The cool thing about this Celebration is that our table will be attached to the As You Wish project display. We are required to have a person present working the table at all times during the con. This is where I call all you hunters to the star destroyer looking for members who would step up and like to volunteer their time. This is a great opprotunity for people to see who TDH is as a community and what we are about. It's also a fantastic way to meet current and potentially new members of the site. In my opinion it is the members of TDH that are truly the biggest reason this site/community is so great and I would like others to see that. In fact, my time working the booth at C4 and meeting everyone there is when I really fell in love with this site. So if you would like to volunteer please either post here or pm me.


As in previous years, we would like to have two volunteers for every two hour shift. I am currently not one hundred percent on the time/schedule currently but this is what I am going off of for now as per previous Celebrations.

hey scott, like i said to you on fb i'm more than happy to volunteer for this! i just need to figure out when the 501st photo is and the bhg panel. after that i'll be able to give you a time i can do it up.

I'll be there. Not sure what time Or day will be best yet but I'll give 2 hrs to this site any day:) will even take an extra shift if need be.

Its too close to my leaving this place, I settled for Hawaii this month. I leave the first week of Nov so Sept was way to close to be able to leave come back and leave.

I'd like too... but I'll have my sons with me... they ARE quite knowledgeable about ESB Fett though, and could school some novices on the finer points. lol!

I wouldn't mind lending a hand if you guys need one. It's the least I can do for all that this site's done for me:thumbsup. Just let me know. Thursday or Friday would be best for me.

Hmmm...not sure if i can do this, but i will be at CVI and would really like to meet some of you guys! Ill see if its ok with the wife if i give you guys a couple of hours. Its just me and her, so i dunno if she wants to just sit there or wander about alone for 2hrs lol.

As I have a room to myself (heaven, fortune, same thing ;) ) I will be hopefully able to be up relatively early so can take one of the shifts people don't like ;) I have Plans on some official business and some panels but would love to gabble at everyone in my Mando/Clone/Actual Kiwi accent ;)

will have Shae Vizla for sure, much as I'd love to break out a secret project health issues means Shae is about all I can manage to make over right now :) But it is happening.

I was an annoying know it all early user of the ssiet then lost my password and only recently rejoined, but I have been around a long time to so it would be nice to give back some support.

I have lots of hours to help out. I'm flyin solo to CWCVI. So count me in for Fri or Sat for sure.

Oops, jump the gun on this Scott. I'm doing the Troop-Athalon Friday at 10:30. Can you please switch us to the 2-4pm shift please. Will also do the Thursday 10am-noon shift with Craig.

well, i'm out. my old house drained my bank account try. so i won't be attending until C7.

I can volunteer. Saturday afternoon (after the 501st photo at 1:00) works for me. Friday afternoon is good too.

I'll be there and plan on volunteering at the booth for sure. I missed out on voluteering at CV because I traveled with my daughter. This time, I'm there solo. Like others I just need to plan around a few other things (501st group pic, R2 Builders shifts and party set-up). I'll be in touch soon with some hours. Looking forward to seeing old friends again!

Alright so TDH has four extra exhibitor passes available. We are going to offer them to members who volunteer to an equivilant of a days worth of time. One of the passes has possibly already been claimed. Message me if you are interested.

Got my "official" 4-day pass in the mail today! It's getting closer. . . :)

Alright gang. The time is quickly approaching. A huge thanks to those who have already volunteered their time. Three of the exhibitor badges have already been claimed so we have just one remaining. If you would like to claim the last one for a few shifts at the table I will need to get your full name in a pm today. I'm getting really excited about seeing everyone at the con!

That was my fault Doug. I mean't to send you a pm asking which shifts you wanted.

I haven't just gone and done a schedule yet because I wanted people to step forward and pick a time slot that works best for them. *The initial post has been updated again.

We've still got a lot of time slots left to fill and we would certainly appreciate the help. This is a great opprotunity to meet to friends and make new ones.

Thanks to all of those who have volunteered so far. I already have several of the volunteer's cell phone numbers but for those that I don't or if you're just not sure, please pm me your number when you can.

Pencil me and my wife Lisa in for the Sunday 12-2 and possibly the 4-5 breakdown shift. We are driving, so no worries on rushing out of hotels and to airports and stuff.

I will still be willing to pick up more.

Those 2 shifts you have me booked for are good for me (assuming the 501st photo is done by 4 PM on Saturday).

I'll look over my schedule tonight and see if I can spare some time to help out!

Id love to help out at some point...is it ok to be a "possibly fly by" lol. I know me and the misses plnned to be at some panels and stuff, plus the 501st pic ans such. Not sure exactly when i'll be available, but if i can just help out randomly, id be good for that.

Ill be headed down to Florida with Firstsonofsolo so I will take some of the shifts he is scheduled for. Im down for the following shifts

Is it a requirement that we be in costume while we are at the booth. I ask this because I would like to sign up, for a slot but I will not be in costume all 4 days.

Not at all. There isn't any requirement to wear armor or even a TDH shirt while working the table. I think I'm the only person who has worn their armor all the time at a con and while working the table but that's just because I loved it.

It is entirely up to you whether you would like to be wearing a costume while working the table.

I know the 501st are having a party at CVI, is TDH doing one also?

Hey Scott, I just added Art and I on the 10am shift on Sunday. He and I talked a few days ago and agreed to staff a Sunday shift together. If he can't make 10 AM I'm sure he'll let us both know. ;-)

I'm not sure just yet how the table layout is but that could be possible Florian. If not, we can store your stuff in my room until you get situated. It's whatever is best for you buddy.
