Is Voltron worthy of a movie adaption

No. Being a fan of the cartoon back in the day, I'd hate to see somebody who is unworthy take it and make it into their own vision, possibly screwing it up. Better to just leave it alone. But that's just my opinion tho.
For me it'd be like somebody making a live action Legend of Zelda movie. A million ways it could go wrong and screw it up for the fans, better to just not touch it. Ya dig?

Yeah, that was a very elaborate April Fool's Day joke. There was even a trailer, but it was confirmed by the makers as a fake.

It was actually just a fan made trailer that was made a few years ago, then IGN got the license to use it as a joke, was my understanding. Either way that trailer WAS impressive. There was a sigh of relief to know it was just a joke though.

i used to love the voltron cartoon as a kid, but the property hasn't aged well at all (especially when you realize that voltron as we know it was actually two different shows spliced together). honestly i think voltron needs a live action movie adaption about as much as speed racer needed it. that is to say, not at all.

I used to love Battle of the Planets. I have a feeling anyone who did a movie would probably ruin it though. That seems to be the way of things. Any movie adaptation of an old show I used to love always ends up being junk. Get Smart, Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, on and on... junk.
