But I lisened to the sample sounds, and it's not quite what I'm looking for... Vader was almost right, but I need more darker and less breathing and ... vader voice...

Also keep in mind that your voice is different than whoever recorded the samples, so you will sound different. You most likely have a lighter voice than him so your output voice would be lighter as well.

the vader breathing comes from an external MP3... the vader vortex is just an example of what they can do - they have other "characters" that they do besides vader.

there are settings and adjustments on the actual voice changer. its a great product, and def worth the money.

They have different chips for different characters that you can switch out. I have a Fett and a stormtrooper.

Target sells a cheap ($10) voice changer labeled as "eerie voice changer" for halloween. It has the scream character on the package. Hyperdyne said they were sold out of theirs when I contacted them. The target one is supposed to do several different pitches.

The only problem I've had with voice changers is that I still hear my own voice over the altered one. Tried some cheapo $10 one from online, as well as the one from spirit, which has like 6 switches on it and a bunch of different combinations, all of which are pretty garbled. I've tried talking quieter and all but that just makes the changed voice uneven, garbled, or too quiet. *** man. :/

Are you sure that's not you hearing your voice as it travels through your head? That's the phenomenon that makes us thing we sound different than what we do and freaks us out when we hear ourselves recorded. You might hear your natural voice when you have the voice changer, but others probably don't.

You're gonna hear your own voice inside the helmet, but the changer is what others will hear.

Nah, I had my gf record me from about 6-10 feet away using the voice changer. With and without some sort of helmet/mask. I still heard my voice pretty easily in the recording. It WAS the spirit halloween voice changer, so I didnt expect top-notch quality.

I think the best bet would be a good recorder that amplifies the voice quite a bit, so you can talk quietly and still have a decent output. Also with effects n such, and without costing a ridiculous amount of money. Dare to dream lol.

The aker 10 watt amp is pretty cheap and packs a punch when you need it.
