Vader to be resurrected

It worked pretty good, story-wise, when the Emperor was cloned in the EU, so I actually don't mind if they use that as a base and have them clone Vader for movie purposes.

But how's that work with Ani basically returning from the ds in RoTJ? Does he change his mind? He and QGJ and Obi Wan have some falling out in the afterlife? Verbal is right; it worked with the Emporer but Sidious was twisted to the bitter end and never had a coming-to-Jesus moment like DV... just went flying down the big hole (why was that big hole even there?) guns (fingers) blazing...

I imagine that vader will be resurrected the same way Maul was in the clone wars. By some witch on another planet just to use him for evil. Even though he ended up good he still was one of the most powerful jedi/siths. so someone could revive him as a puppet to do bad. imagine a vader like the force unleashed..

I look at it more as the Vader suit representing fear in the galaxy, which would be the clone's motive, so I don't think it's too far of a stretch. I doubt not many people would even know who Anakin is/was at this time anyway, so why not use a symbol that people know and fear.

I hate it already. It makes zero sense. The entire point of the original trilogy was the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin/Vader. Doing this completely negates the entire story, even if it's a clone it just takes the easy way out (IE The Mission Impossible: OH no it's not him he was wearing a mask routine) I don't know why they have to completely rehash and ruin everything when there is literally hundreds of stories ready set and loved by fans, or at least the characters. Let's have something completely new and not turn Vader into a Jason Vorhees with a lightsaber instead of a machete. **** like this makes me not even want to see it.

Not sure I buy it. The article goes on to say that Ford, Hamill, and Fisher are returning, when to the best of my knowledge, they've just been asked in various interviews if they'd return if asked and all have expressed interest, but I haven't seen any actual confirmation that they've signed anything to do so. At this point, it's best to assume everything we hear is wild speculation until confirmed.

I don't know why they don't just incorporate some of the stories of the EU. I mean the Thrawn series was great , and what about the vong? The new jedi order series would fit with the ages of Hamill, Ford and Fisher, and introduce us to the solo kids. Boba Fett and the Mandalorian super commandos even had a place in the vong stories.

Luke, Leia and Han coming back???? It sounds like a shallow attempt to resurrect the magic of the first trilogy.

are they throwing continuation to the end? I thought when Lucas agreed upon all the novels of the EU the emphasis was on the continuity of the story. To do this without continuation of all the great stories we've read just seems ridiculous. This sounds as bad as the clone wars series.

I got one thing to say...... Money! Disney knows this will be a massive draw to get fans in theaters! Vaders story line is done. to keep it going makes no sense unless its in flashbacks etc. the starwars frachise is the story of the skywalkers to resurrect vader as some kind of mobey making fan service just ruins the continuation of that.

like +1 million. The flashbacks have a name, it's called The Clone Wars. The story of Vader has been told and finished. I'd love to see a true to book Legacy story or Vong series.
