Those who have come before..

Those names brought back some good memories, as well as the "as you wish" days. Its amazing how far this place has come since its infancy and how diverse its become as well.

Big thanks to all those guys(and the DENT) to get US this far!! There would be NO complete Fett in my house without them!!!

Wow, I remember all those names... :D and like most have said I thank all the
former and current members that always improve our quest to have the most accurate costume possible.

I'd like to add thanks to...
Bradley Fett for his site that inspired me.
Art and his Ref. CD's,and knowledge pius his photographs are awesome.
FettPride & Spideyfett for their constant improvements to hard parts..

and to new members like Gav and volkerc for recreating VERY hard items.
99centtaco for his leather goods that are amazing.

those are the few that come to mind but there are alot more..:cheers

and though I pretty much finished my goal to make a ESB suit, this forum will always be one of my faves.

Sweet! I initially intended this to be a thread for former members (man, that makes it sound like they died or something :() but we definitely have a TON of people who are still current members who have contributed to the board. I didn't include them mainly because I am lazy and there are so many... plus I was afraid of leaving someone out!

Speaking of leaving someone out, another old timer was Dean O. He set the stage for machined parts and ushered in a new era of detail and accuracy that has since been picked up by members like Russ Rep.

So true..... I've still got the rare shin tool rods from him/you;) , plus a beacon, stabilizer, knee darts. His costume really was the inspiration for me to do a Boba costume. Not to mention "Boba Fett, the details that make the suit" ;)

Boba Phett was another uber accurate machined item maker of times past. I only saw him on a few times in '08. Still have his ESB Flamethrower and gauntlet darts....

Doesn't seem that long ago that I joined up either. All those names are familiar - even though I don't personally know them.

DCB - Man... I still remember him going on that trip to Aussieland! :D We were all so excited because we didn't have any reference pictures for Zam except the 2 or 3 published in books. Has it really been that long ???

Great thread Art. Makes me feel REAL old though!

I miss Caudill on here.... BobaFettish, BradleyFett and TK409 were the inspirations to all of us back in the day! Truly amazing costumers and prop builders who revolutionized the hobby. I myself remember modeling my costume to get as close to Chris' Fett as possible.

I miss the days of BobaGoat too... Jason was a riot and really brought a fun energy to the forums.

Wow.

Great to see some of the history of TDH. I am sure they are all proud - and rightly so - as they have set so many Fetts loose in all corners of the world!

Lets not forget some of the legends that are still here with us Art ;)

Proud to be Next Gen TDH :cheers

Bobby.

Yeah big respect to Chris TK409 its his fault that I now have so many helmets/costumes/props, I started out wanting a Boba Fett but when I saw his sandtrooper I got the bug big time, so Chris if you are out there thanks for kick starting my childhood dream, oh and I hate you for getting me in so much Fett Debt, god bless :cheers

Ok I've just realised that I myself have been here nearly 6 years, wow how it flies by!! Good times

Agreed. BradleyFett was the only one making Boba armor in the beginning, when there was extremely little reference out there. My first set was from him. TUBFC site/board and BYOBF site were the only Boba costuming sources back then.

Being "old school" myself (10 years ago this summer I built my Boba costume, summer of 1999. Wow, has it been that long?)... TK409, Got Maul and Fettpride have all told me they looked at my suit for inspiration when they were building their own Boba costume. I take that as highest humble praise, considering what those three guys have accomplished in the years since.

Plus I remember seeing some video footage from Magic of Myth back in 2000 where some Sandtrooper guy named Arturo was looking over my costume and saying "that's a great Fett suit!"....right, SEEKER? ... and it might have been a year later when some chump wearing a Han Solo costume wanted to take pictures with me at Wizard World Chicago. Later he became known as JodoKast3. Both those guys are now in my circle of friends. :)

DeanO, well I've still got my jet pack light beacon from him sitting on my pack just like when I got it from him back in 2002.

Bobagoat is still around and hits the con scene. Just look for the party.
:cheers

I've gotten to meet a good number of TDHers over the years, even back when it was called As You Wish, and it's been a lot of fun so far. Kudos to those who came before me and all the newer guys who have taken these costumes to a whole level not dreamed of when I first started here. Thanks for keeping this whole thing going, Art. (y)

Although I'm not familiar with all of the names on the list, I do recall some of them from my relative,y short time here.

I'd like to thank all of them for helping to create this wonderfully awesome site. I'd also like to add to the list as well, as without these individuals, the board would not have evolved into the community it is today.

1. Art Andrews ( Braks Buddy ) and Mirax. Without both of you giving all of us guidance during our initial days here, we wouldn't have gotten the fullest out of our beggining exploits.

2. WizardofFlight. Without your templates, many of us would still be walking around rather naked. Your hard work and dedication to the community have always been high on my list for heart-felt thanks. It was because of Alans templates that I found my way to TDH, and then it was the membership here that kept me from leaving.

There are others here that have made a more personal impression on myself and other fellow Jango builders... BKBT, Cruzer, SEEKER, Asok are but a few. Russ-rep and Serenity for your machining services, the list can go on and on.

Every one of us, in some small way, have given to this community. I thank each and every one of you for helping to make TDH what it is today.

Thank you all!

I met BobaFettish at CIII (after my friend and I tailed him all around the convention center because of his amazing costume, poor man was probably terrified) and it was thanks to him that I was steered in the direction of this fine place!

I'm so glad we followed him like silent assassins to that costuming panel, my life would be a lot poorer if I hadn't. Where else on the net would people put up with my particularly salacious Fett fangirling?

Here's to TDH and all it's fine members past and present. :cheers

Wow thanks Steve :cheers

This is the sort of site that you cant take for granted, if it wasnt for this place not forgetting Jon aka Ronin677  i would not of been able to even know where to start on my fett project.

So cheers to all of you guys and gals :cheers old and new.

Thanks

Steve
