I'm just hoping that it's the West Coast... or FL (that's my home)!!
I'm wanting somewhere mroe int he middle. Indiana (my home), Illinois, etc... That way it's not a HUGE trip for either coasts nor north or south. Plus if it's not anywhere near tourist attractions like disney etc.... the price will be lower for hotels and such. I'm sick of everything happening in either CA. or FL. Florida already has a huge SW theme event with Disney, and CA. is already home to most SW things being that LF is based there.
Yeh I dunno FL was pretty good...hotels arent stupid expensive really and theres stuff to do besides the Con
i thin new york city would be an ultimate spot to be honest. Because honestly . . . its new york. But regardless of where it is i'll def be there. Hope to meet all you guys there!
I just want a huge event somewhere near where I live for once. Both coasts and FL have had or currently have huge annual cons. All of these I can't attend due to college/family/funding issues. I have yet to attend any of the huge cons such as DC, SDCC, NYCC, and the rest. Having one more Celebration near IN. would be great cause I'd finally get to go to a bigger convention.
I just hope it is within a few weeks of Dragon Con again and within a days drive of Atlanta. I was able to go to my parents home for a few weeks and hit up both D*C and CV last year. I could do with another 6 week vacation.
If it were in Philly, i'd lose it! I'd jump and shout! I'd Streak down main street......no , wait.... no one wants to see that...including my wife!!
I would be psyched though, I'd also invite any TDH'ers who need to crash!!
But, sadly i don't believe it would come to Philly with NY so close to here....
I really see it being back in Oralando...we have 2 years before itll happen again though
I would love for them to do this one in Dallas. I am sure Jerry Jones would rent out the new Cowboys stadium.
I prefer orlando or Puerto Rico lol, but a least at midle or the east of USA. Like Chicago, NY ect......

(When I say Dallas is bigger I don't know the actual population of Chicago, but Dallas has about 40 cities right around it that are 200,000 plus populations, so the area that is called Dallas really is not just the city. Dallas is about 1.5 mil, Fort Worth is 1 mil, then there is Arlington, Irving, Garland, Plano, Richardson, and the list goes on)
i'd like to see it in denver or maybe seattle. living in montana, i know i'll never see anything that cool here. and isn't C6 going to be coinciding with the 30th anniversary of episode 6? so 2013, it seems like a good bet.

I'd like for it to be in Dallas as well since they will be completing a new convention center with a few hotels directly connected to it as well. Maybe then I could convince all my friends that live around me to go.
Truth be told though, I'll be going no matter where they decide to hold it.

One more week and let we see if the rumor and information about the anouncment of celebration VI (where and date) is true.
Usually its every 3 yrs so id say 2013. CV was a blast, Florida was pretty decent for the con, but there wasnt much else to do in that immediate area. Obviously, being from NYC id like it to be here, or Philly...somewhere a little closer, but im not gonna count on that happening. Dont think there is a venue big enough for it here. The closest would be the Javits center, but CV was like 2 of those lol!

I ran into Steve Sansweet at the Star Tours grand opening/Star Wars Weekends on 5/20 which is our wedding anniversary. I had him wish us a happy anniversary on video, he said "come to celebration next year and I'll renew your vows" It was our 9th, next year will be our 10th...so it SOUNDS like Celebration will be next year, and around the middle of May...take it or leave it...it was hot and he could have meant come to Star Wars Weekends next year but said Celebration...

I almost 99% sure it will be summer next year, next week will be know for sure where and the exact date.
With the upcoming 3D release of all six films (2012-2017), Celebrations will become a yearly event.

I'll likely be passing on this one again; I'm too fair skinned and liable to incinerate from the sweltering humidity alone based on the stories my buddy Trevor spun about the sweat lodge affectionately called the the exhibition hall last year.
Kidding aside it would have been better for most folks logistically if this event were held at another venue preferably on the east coast or midwest but in any case this should be a fun gathering for our community and casual fans alike.

Last time the 501st didn't have a changing room. If you were an official volunteer you could use their changing room.

I feel it should be midwest cause then it's equal travel distance from everywhere. and plus the coasts and south have ALL the big cons, SW weekends, dragon con, nycc, sdcc. I never get to hit anything big cause my fund are tight and I have family and college duties. and just found out that yeah I was thinking 2011, but even with 2012 I STILL won't get to go, cause our family vacation is down there earlier in the year, so I still won't be able to make the trek.
Aside from the heat I thought Orlando was great. And I was only in the heat for about 5 minutes each way between hotel and con.
I've booked my hotel rooms and con tickets already. No flights yet... still too early there. Probably deal with that come Januaryish.
There were a few good hotels right around the corner, Ponte took the bus from his hotel in his boba that was interesting
If any of you are coming to Orlando hit me up on hotel rates. I have many friends that work in the industry here so let me know if you are looking for something close to the convention center or disney and your price range per night and I can probably recommend a place. I might even be able to set you up discounts if a bunch of you want to stay at the same place.
I think there is a hotel that is doing a 65 a night for the convention

hey guys! to anyone in the new york New jersey area. I'm planning a roadtrip to celebration leaving tuesday night the 21st 2012. anybody interested in going in a convoy? Multiple card drivin down? I have a facebook page called star wars celebration VI orlando or bust let me know!
Booked my room. Rosen plaza. .1 miles away. $99 a night. See u guys there. I'll be in the Boba costume sweating my butt off. Lol.
I missed the last Celebration and I will not miss this one. So happened that we decided to close down our company during that time and life was in total disarray. I would have rather been in Olrlando than boxing up stuff and messing around with storage units and getting chewed out by a sharp as a tack 72 year old former Marine and now former boss after 20 years of servitude. Would do it all over again. Plus weddings that year, I was in three weddings last year, not including the previous 3 since 2006 and the one from two weekends ago. It's surprising how weddings will bankrupt yo' rear when you are a groomsman like all the time! So in 2012 I will be bringing three costumes, my snow clone commander, a new custom clone I named Commander Tyyrel of the I.S.P. and, hopefully, a completed Super Trooper! P90X reboot activate!

So I was talkin to my friends, the higher ups that do the bookings over at the at the convention center today. Looks like not only the next one in 2012 will be in Orlando but the following convention VII as well.
Well at least Ill make it to 7...not sure if its worth a $1300 plane ticket to come home on leave for it I WANT to but not sure if I should do it...Id have to have at least a week to throw a Fett together as well
