Suppa Fett RIP

Jango Wes

Well-Known Hunter
I just read on my garrison forum that Chad Suppa, aka Suppa Fett died last weekend. Here's an excerpt from the news release.

Chad Suppa was killed this weekend while doing what he loved most in life. Chad died Sunday after he fell 250 feet into a ravine near the Salt River (Phoenix) base jumping.

At about 2 p.m., 35-year-old Chad Dennis Suppa was attempting to jump from a mountain base near the Stuart Mountain Dam near Stuart Mountain Road and Bush Highway.

Officials said Suppa apparently had problems with his parachute as it was opening which caused him to collide into the rock face wall and fall several hundred feet.

The Maricopa County Sheriff Department's Mountain Rescue Team assisted the man out of the ravine.

He hasn't been active on the board in quite a while, but I figured those who knew him might want to know.

I have been gone from the TDH for some time, but now I'm back and I'm missing my best friend. Suppa was my "Brother Fett" as he always said to me. We were a pair at all the conventions...roomates and just plain old best buds. This has hit me hard guys and I can barely write this as the tears fill my eyes every time I think about him.

I'm going to cut and paste some info below for his service next week in VA on the 27th. I'm going and i'm going in costume with several people from the 501st who are also members here...if you knew him and would like to join us please do...and even if you did not know him we would love the company and brotherhood.

Chad was the guitar playing Boba at many events and many also know him as the one and only PIMP Trooper at DragonCon.

3 seperate services are planned for our Suppa

First the service in VA (his home town with family). Several of us are planning on going.

Sad news, but it sounded like the man lived a great life and died head on doing what he loved. So sorry for his friends and family.

You will me missed, my brother.
Gone... but NEVER forgotten.

This was taken a few years ago @ an event we had in Little Rock,
called the Big Cruise Fest. Posing with Chad are Jeremy and Becky Wright.
