i agree. if you like that helmet, just buy the copies on ebay,
taken into account the molding process, the cost of plastic, and the fact no one will like you anymore, it is cheaper and better form to just buy multiple copies.
if you sculpt your own, different story. make 1000.

Now, the helpful part
Once you get your helmet sculpted the way you want it. Make a mold of it. Then pour a couple castings. Cut them into pieces and you wont damage your original.
But your looking at $500 worth of rubber and resin and misc stuff to do that. So the better your original you create, the better your vac'd pieces will be
Remember when sculpting that you will want to sculpt it with a little sharper features than the original, because the vac form will lose some detail depending on your stock, and the quality of your vac'd machine.
