thats pretty cool dude
I saw this and said to my-self, I am going to vibro whoever came up with that one. But it's actually pretty cool!!!
I saw the alien, stormtrooper and a predator at a convention in Norway last year. Pretty nice work, but oh.... the prices.... I think the predator went for $10.500![]()
there's a great steampunk drawing of a totally diff steampunk boba here: http://gorillaartfare.com/2008/10/st...t-second-pass/
me want !!!!!!!
correction: I want to be that!
I wouldn't really consider those statues as "steampunk" per se. Those are more just nuts and bolts statues. "Steampunk" generally refers to an idea taken back to the days where steam and the like were the main modes of machines working. Thus having a large steam operated rocketpack or something simlar.
Though that drawing of "Fett" looks really cool I would never have guessed it was supposed to be a Fett until someone told me it was. Even still I have a hard time seeing Fett in it. Just my opnion and in no way am I trying to bag on that drawing as it looks awesome just doesn't remind me of Boba or Jango in any way.
Those look awesome! I went to a game convention earlier this year and some of the Steampunk guys had a booth set up. They make some great stuff.
I agree with you, Predator; I love that drawing but any resemblance to Fett is a little tough to find. I would love to see someone develop a Fett costume inspired by Steampunk...

this guy does some awesome action figure customs. A lot of steam punk and a lot of characters made to fit into different times and places. The first is from a series set in the 1940's of star wars characters the other two are two steampunk ideas. more of his work is here http://www.sillof.com/C-CUSTOMS-Main.htm
wow. I'm impressed.
yeah i know i found him like a year ago and had to look it up again when i saw this thread. His work is amazing.
The wife and I are working on a couple steampunk Star Wars costumes for DragonCon. I have her Steampunk Leia almost done and working to get my SP Mando finished (at least close enough to tell what it is supposed to be anyway). I think there are a few others working on various SP versions of Star Wars characters for the con, too. Been lots of talk, but not much in the way of updates/pics yet.
I hope to have ours done by the end of next week so I can get some pics up just before leaving for DCon.
this one is for real awesome, and I can totally see the Boba in it
