Star Wars in Concert

Hey Jango72, If you get the oppertunity to take some pics of the
Han in Carbontite (if its there)...could you take some extra (Im building one......when I get around to it..Ive got almost everything together though). Have fun!!!

I've heard they're using the Icons Han in Carbonite, not the real one......as well as the Don Post C-3PO and Boba Fett statutes, and the Pepsi Yoda....all mixed in with real screen used stuff.

I wonder if that is because this exhibit has to move around so often? Some of the smaller pieces that require less hands on setting up are real props and the more complicated stuff is just an old statue. For the average fan I think it doesn't matter... its us guys who care... ;)

The show was amazing!! It was also my first time seeing a 501st troop in real life, and everyone's costumes looked so rad! I didn't get much chance to talk to Boba Fett and Jango Fett (Jango72?) but here's a pic of me with them and Zam Wesell:

Definitely makes me want to work on my costume even more! Looks like you guys could use a Dengar along for the ride too, hmm? *gears gringing in brain*

Yep... that's me as Jango!! Boba is JRock and the Zam is none other than Darkflower.

The concerts were great, as we got the opportunity to troop both the Ottawa and Montreal shows. Sadly, the HiC wasn't the srceen used one, as the side panels were just carved in resin... not the tech-looking panels we see on screen.

Bummer really.

Hey man, you guys looked rad, and it's very cool how much poise you all had when dealing with the many people asking for photos. I would have liked to chat you both up a bit but it was busy and I didn't want to take up all your time. I did mention I was on The Dented Helmet to jRock and he asked my username but that's about it.

Quick question: what helmets did you guys have? Scratchbuilt? I recently bought the Limited Edition one from the Comic Book Shoppe in Nepean.

JRocks helmet is a Don Post 95 I believe. Mine is a scratch built and Darkflowers Zam helmet... I'm not sure of the maker, but it's a tad short front to back, so I'm going to have a go at scratch making her a new one.

I would've loved to chat with you, but the crowd was unreal. I have to keep in mind though, the crowd in Montreal was even bigger! I couldn't move more than one step before someone was tugging on my sleeve or tapping my shoulder to get my attention for a photo op.

Indeed the turnup in Montreal was amazing!!! Ian and I met in our respective costumes in Montreal once and eventually we HAD to split up because we were making a huge crowd gather in the entrance... lol

So many pictures were taken and I have seen almost none tot his date sadly...

One of my best trooping event yet if not THE best. :D

The sad part is that after we split up, I don't think that either of us made more than 15 or 20 feet apart... then we got mobbed yet again! :wacko

Our concert crowd was crazy as well. I've easily done over 100 Star Wars costume events, and this one was probably the most amount of pictures I've had taken. We were out there about an hour and a half and by the time we got out on the floor, it was non stop picture taking the whole time.

I saw Bet's on Fett for a couple seconds during the crowd of photos. Great costume, dude!(y)

Hey Lou! Excellent Fett! My first troop as Boba (or anything else) was with the NER at the IZOD center the night before. It was an amazing event!

There were so many pictures taken at both the Ottawa and Montreal events, that even in spite of my visor being uber dark, I was seeing flash spots for a good part of both nights! :wacko

It was definately insane. The concert was awesome. There were so many people it was hard to just stand around and talk. The stormtrooper there gave me your card for the great lakes garrison and I'm looking into joining.

thanks man! thats awesome, trooping is loads of fun, and being Fett rocks...the attention is so much more as the individual character than a Stormtrooper or bikerscout. I love trooping the Fettman!

I had a great time at the Boston show. A super fan in a Fett hoodie was one of the first people to get a pic with me in my Vader, and I thought he was going to squeal when he said thanks and I replied "youre welcome...BOUNTY HUNTER."
