star wars the blueprints limited edition .

This book is currently being sold for £150 by forbidden planet in the uk online. That's about half what one would usually expect to pay for this book in the uk (the standard version is about £60 iirc). Mine just turned up and it's an absolute beauty of a book and certainly a great companion for the deluxe Dressing and Sculpting galaxy books released a few years back. I haven't been able to look through it in detail but I can tell you that there's a lot more to it than the standard edition with plenty of shots and drawings I've never seen; it's still pretty expensive and weighing in at around 12 KG/2 stones you've got to be pretty serious about wanting this book but as the sort of thing you'd be holding onto for decades I doubt you'd feel you'd wasted your money.

That's great, Andy! I would love to have this book, but can't afford it. I saw that there were some members who got this book, but never shared (scan or photo) the Supertrooper/Boba Fett pages. Maybe you will be able to do some hi-res shots of the pages, even if it's not the whole page, I could paste them into one giant image.

For those who saw the Star Wars Costumes: The Original Trilogy book but don't have it, here are the Boba Fett pages:

Boba Fett Costume 01.jpg Boba Fett Costume 02.jpg Boba Fett Costume 03.jpg Boba Fett Costume 04.jpg

Image 3 and 4 is the same, but the right side is a fold-out page. The image with the vests and chest armor is a video caption, while the left side (with the jetpack and gloves) was recreated using upscaled images and added text.

As a bonus, here are 2 images:

Boba Fett Costume 05.jpg Vest & Armor Attachment.jpg

The first image is a video caption of Brandon Allinger with one of the ROTJ stunt vests with armor (5 vests and 6 jumpsuits are on hangers on the left side), while the 2nd image is a composition of my chest armor template with the attachment holes/points.

Yeah, can do. It won't be possible for me to scan it because it's a very, very large book. There is a cheaper version of book out there although I'm not sure if there are differences other than presentation. I did do some quick snaps for Major but they didn't come out great due to the lighting conditions of the time so I'll need to redo them. Probably the nicest thing in it Boba wise is the original drawing for the JP from when the character was still called simply 'stormtrooper 2' in March 78.

Here are some better pictures of the drawings from the Deluxe Star Wars Blue prints book ( I posted some up before but can't recall where). It's still a book I'd heartily recommend. Sorry if these seem dull but the pages are so glossy that the only way to eliminate shine is to photo in diffused and overcast daylight; any flash or artificial light source obliterates everything. I tried to reduce the page bulge as much as possible but it's such a large, thick book that getting the pages completely flat was impossible.

For my money the jetpack drawing is the most informative and I suppose you could deduce the dimensions of the whole thing once you knew for certain the dimensions of a single piece.

Live the dream.

Making me want one of those books Andy......
Anyone wanting originals of the photo's can have them emailed although I genuinely recommend buying the book. I'll see if I can view a copy of the standard version in order to see how much of a difference there is but looking at online posted information I suspect it may not be much because both the standard and the deluxe versions with different ISBN's are showing as 336 pages meaning the original limited, deluxe version may really only benefit from a better presentation/cover and paper quality or something like that.
The cheapest I can see the limited version for right now is £199 from Forbidden Planet but the standard version usually hovers around £40 - £60. Assuming they're pretty much the same book I think the £40 is well worth shelling out for.

I managed to get the normal version for £30. I'll have a good look through when it arrives and if I can help with any photos, let me know and I'll post them on here

Man the original bucket design in that blue print photo makes that look like a pretty wicked angle - reminds me more of the spartan type helmets but with a visor instead of just the eye slots. The actual helmet doesn't seem to have such a harsh slope, at least to me but maybe it does! lol Awesome shares though
